The Project Pad

Took the car for its first ride on Thursday night before work, it sounded and drove healthy but it had some serious boost and vacume leaks. Last night while doing a boost leak down test, I discovered a plug that was leaking, the bov flange was leaking, had a serious leak by the throttle body and the p.o.s plastic expandable intake I tried using isn't the best application for a turbo inlet.

Looking forward to some videos when that is all mended.

Took her for her first real ride after getting all the leaks i found welded up, and fabricating my own intake, 54 miles each way to Sonic of Long Island. My friends cruised with me aswell. A31 nissan cefiro imported, 1jz mx83 cressida.

I gave the car one of its many needed washes to get the layers of dirt and grime off of it. and it was looking a bit aggressive pulling in.

Ill get some video footage of a walk around the car when i have some free time, and a driving video when i find were i put my go pro haha. Car seems pretty solid and smooth. it has some pep and i didnt expect anything crazy out of a bigger turbo factory injector and factory ecu.

a little over 9000 miles later the car is still kicking it, it has its hiccups. Installed another rack to realize the factory cooler line was kinked from the oil pan and ended up running a super cheap 40 dollar cooler and all seems pretty well. From what I see the car needs new engine mounts and one of the turbo coolant lines sprung a leak. Did some research and the s14 water neck is a better upgrade for that line. Also installed a 3 inch straight pipe ( blast pipe ) and well it sounds like shit. WIll try to update thread with pictures and videos.

New OEM water pump
Cobra downpipe
Serviced the diff
Converted over to a high mount intercooler setup
New rear tires
Changed to blank rotors all around
Aeromotive 340 flex fuel pump
One piece drive shaft
Upgraded coilpack conversion
New valve cover and new gasket
Swapped out the nardi wheel for a sparco wheel
Led conversion bulbs for the headlights

Car has been sitting for awhile due to life giving me the shit end of the stick in more ways than one.
