It is almost comical. I kindly asked for a refund at this point. I'm glad they aren't interested in getting these back. Maybe I'll trade them in for scrap, lol.

it is comical, but obviously highly frustrating. The holes are in the same spot and same shape? aside from one being a mirror image of the other. Shipping dept. fail for sure.

That's where the nipple would be for the expansion tank. Snapped clean off.

x2 on the keep for sparesies with the intent of building aluminum end tanks... could be a burgeoning market for quality pieces.

Quick update here...got a refund on the radiator. Will buy one locally at German Auto Parts.

Aside from that, I pulled the sport seats out of my sedan and installed them in the Avant then gave it a decent interior cleaning (vacuum/wipe down). It's amazing how well these interiors hold up over the years! I wish the exterior was the same, lol.

It's nice to have a heated seat again :)

How does the pro clip attach? Is it above and below the wood trim piece? Just wondering how secure it is as I see they make a 200 specific dashboard mount. Would be prefect for a tablet with vems loaded on it.

Yes, clips right on the trim piece nice and snug. Very awesome quality. Here's a pic of the one in my sedan:

Finally changed the radiator. Also had a rear brake hose blow out, opening an can of worms and ended up having to replace a rear brake line too. Anyways, glad she's back in action and now I can let the Golf rest a bit.

Took a few decent pics:

Looks great! I'm not sure why, but I'm really digging the spacing between the tails for the Euro plate.

I'm looking to lower the Avant and have come across a decent local set of H&R's for a URS car. Does anyone have any experience with using URS springs on a T44? I don't want it to end up being a lift kit.

I think I installed H&R Sports from a Ur in my 200 to begin with. Pics of it on the 1st page of my project thread.

You can get H&R 29800 for ~$200... they're better springs than the crappy progressive rate ones that were spec'd for UrS cars

Cleaned her up a bit and installed the NOS BAD-ASS mud flaps. I was going to keep them in the bag foreverrrrrr but decided the wagon needed them. Lol. Some recent pics:

Something about dem wheels, and the mud flaps that looks soooooo right. Have any for the front?

Come to think of it, I think black roof rails would be a bullseye. But that's (also) purely subjective.

So I've been dealing with this for a bit and maybe you guys can help. I haven't owned a STOCK 200 for long so these areas I am unfamiliar with. The car REEKS of rich exhaust fumes. Performance seems like it should and I really don't know about how the fuel mileage should be but I guess it seems acceptable. If you open the windows while you're driving the smell of exhaust fumes is very strong. Windows up it's much less but still unacceptable. Even at idle walking around the car you can smell very strong exhaust fumes. The exhaust is damn near silent though but I suppose there could be a very small leak somewhere.

Here's what I've done so far:

New disty cap, rotor, wires and NGK plugs.
Every vacuum line under the hood has been replaced.
Swapped out the MAF.
Checked ECU for codes (none).
O2 sensor looks recent (not sure if that matters).

Any ideas?

I've read that the cats could be clogged or that the FPR could be bad. I would imagine that both of these things would make performance real bad, but maybe not.

Also, knock sensors look like ass. Not sure if that would do anything.

PCV system looks like it's pretty well in-tact. Not that kind of smell though anyway.
