its gotta be that bracket.
let me look up the part number of the one i bought and what that one is, they def. look different.
Q??
are your tranny mounts all old and shi tty like?? buy the density line or 034MS mounts and do this on some good mounts that wont move around at all.

8A0 199 308 J....same mount as you used wasnt it vagrant?
as far as the tranny mounts, they are oldish i guess you could say...but not shot to the point where i can just shake that schit around in the car. ive got motorsport spec mounts en route, i was just trying to mock most of this up before the got here. also the bellhousing seems pretty lined up, cause if i were to twist it the axles wouldnt line up...
now...although all the oil pan holes line up as it sits currently...which starter is used in this swap? cause i just tried gettting the stock 90q starter in there, and it will not line up with any bolts holes....leading me to believe that it may be the bellhousing thats not on there correctly....

use the starter and the clutch/FW/PP from the A4 of the motor.... the splines are the same from audi trans to trans, in this case.
at least, that is how i understand it.
also, is there maybe something to do with the fact that this is an 06A block instead of the 058? dunno, have not gotten this far on mine yet.

thats what i tried doing, using the starter that came out of the car with the 01A transmission, unless i need a diffrent starter FROM an audi a4 1.8t....?
as far as the block differences here, the 058 would allow me to run a different drivers side mount, but the passenger side mount bracket should still be the same wether it be a 1.8t block, a 16v block, or an 8v block....to the best of my knowledge here...

thats what i mean, A4 B5 1.8T starter and clutch....
and i was just wondering if the back/passenger side of the block is different....

ill see if i can find a bunk starter at the local vw shop and see if it fits the way the tranny is mounted in there now...i dont believe the passenger side of the block is different....

so...ill be working on getting the RIGHT passenger side bracket this week from vag parts....in the meantime....
i deleted the ABS box, re-ran the brake lines, and installed the vac booster from the 90q 20v that i have. swapping the booster over is pretty straight foward, just have to shorten up the shaft that attaches to the brake pedal on the booster IF you use the mounting bracket from the hydoboost system. which is what i did because it brings the booster a wee bit closer to the firewall, only pita thing is that in order to do that i had to take the bracket off the car, put the booster on it, then put it all back into the car in one piece, no big deal really. as far as routing the brake lines for non-abs...i think i did it right, pics to follow...

on a side note, i took a wire wheel to that booster and then primed it a nd painted it, but the rust pitted the metal pretty good, anyone got any advice on what to use to get it back to smooth?

the ironic part about the bottom hole not lining up, IF i just put the bottom bolt in, it then lines up with the mount perfectly on the car. :slap:

Jon bolt up to the bottom and the right bolt then drill the hole!
You got the right bracket!
