back in town for a few days, so i'm gonna keep pluggin away on the zermatt car. i got these 16x8 URS4 Fuch's that i wanted to try out since i like the design. i'm gonna run a poll here....

I think both sets of wheels look like absolute shit! As well as the car. You should just tow that thing out to the east coast and give it to me, and I'll take that pathetic S6 off your hands too, but your gonna have to give me some money. All kidding aside, the 15 BBS' look the best in my opinion, I would throw some track rubber on the 16's. :-)

I'm a big fan of your projects Derek, but I do find the Zermat Silver cars kinda clash with cleaner (or more pure silver in color) silver wheels. An unpainted aluminum wheel? If anyone can pull it off, it'll be you. Good luck

the BBS's are back on all 4's for now. i think the best course of action is just to keep my eyes peeled for a nice set of 16" BBS's like what chad scored.

Forgot to check out this thread for a while, car is looking good Derek. Friend of mine has a Stebro and it sounds really mean, and with a test pipe instead it got a bit growlier, if that is even a word. It does hang like donkey pooh though, the tip on the drivers side looks like it should be higher on all the Stebro equiped cars.

the tips on mine are actually fine
small update.
i wrapped up the lower boost hose, and figured out a solution for my somewhat ill placed BPV port on the IC's outlet end. it's at an odd angle that makes it hard to mate up to where the stock BPV mounts. but! i happened to have this URS4 here, and that weird U shaped BPV hose on it, slightly trimmed, fits perfect! so i'll go with that
otherwise i need to order one more 2.75"-2.25/5" 45 degree reducer hose for the intake track and an air filter and i'm done with that part! i haven't had too much time to get in the wiring mode, but maybe some more tonight before i head back out of town.

i finally got the last piece of silicone for the intake system, a 2.75"-2.25" 45 degree reducer/elbow to replace the crapped out MM hose and to meet up with the pipe coming up from the IC. i think it turned out quite nicely. i now have clearance between the hose and the core support, so worries about rubbing the paint off..
before (temporary setup)
i had a piece of 2.25" exhaust pipe flared up to mate to the 2.5" end of the 45* elbow and some weld beads put on it to help the clamps do their job in holding it together
after (permanent setup)
also, i'll be putting some eurolights in it soon.... wiring up the radiator fan... hopefully figuring out the speedo issue, and wrapping up some dash wiring for the column switches and stuff, so more updates this week

But of course, I guess I should restate that question, did you re-wire for the lights? are they running off the stock relays? I need to install my eurolights and everyone talks about how they have do separate relays, and I don't quite understand what it is i'm supposed to redo... (searched for a bunch of stuff but its hard to find when you use words that are very common)

i've never had a problem rewiring my headlights up to relays.... what i usually do is run both high beams off one relay, and the low beams on their own incase one freaks out (safety thing), and i make a new harness with it's own fused power source, and then use the existing wires to trigger the relays for low, high... it's pretty simple really.

im not saying anything is Huw's fault. im just saying i wasnt happy the first few times and thats it.
