the flat piece that comes with the belts will allow you to take up the room..... just wrap the belt around the harness bar instead of thru the eye plate thingy.

You can only wrap it around once. It should be adjusted just like the lap/crotch belts:

Instead of the end mounting bracket in the picture, it would be the bar.

Perhaps I messed up, or maybe since I'm not looking at the belt I'm just not following. But my harness bar belt is just one long belt, it's not two seperate pieces. Leme snap a pic to show you what's what.

I can't believe they sell a belt setup like that! That is a terrible idea.
If you can, cut it in half and install like in our pics. Otherwise, return it and get a proper setup.

so, things have been getting done a bit here. i got the chassis harness completed. headlights, blinkers, brakes, tails, fogs, etc. the dash is in to stay and the gauge panels are all completed. primed the car this morning, you cant tell much by the pictures but ill be honest and say that it looks better in them then it does in person, lol. ive never sprayed a thing in my life that wasnt out of a rattle can. but with some wetsanding i think ill end up ok. motor is still waiting to be put together, but at least i got the bay/chassis wiring practically done so thats out of the way and the motor can just go in once its together.

I will be removing them for the paint. Just got lazy this morning and didn't want to remove them to spray the primer, hence the taping off.

so, in light of priming the car for paint, i ended up going another route with getting the mate black effect that i wanted. in my searches for matte black cars on the interwebz i came up with many different approaches i saw people taking....and my favorite looks ended up being vinyl wrapping.

now, before you view the pictures, ive NEVER done anything like this. ive never even applied window tint to be honest. this couldve been done with three rolls of vinyl....instead i have about 4 feet left of my fourth 30 yard roll. looking back now, i may have been better off painting the thing, but its done now and i like it. from a few feet away it looks great, MOST of the car looks great up close as well...but im not expert and there were a few spots were creases happened and i wasnt able to work them out. i have to finish heating the cut outs in the front bumper and pushing them in then cutting the extra vinyl out...this was attempt number two at the front bumper and i think it came out very well. the greyish stuff you see on the vinyl isnt the vinyl itself, thats just dust from me blowing the jams out to respray them last night.

Love it. I think it came out awesome. For the time/money involved in doing a correct paint job that looks good closer than a few feet, i think you still did pretty well. most spray jobs in the sub $2000 range will have imperfections and orange peel thats visible from quite a distance.

i actually got the wrap through an outside source that i deal with at work. its made by Universal Products. Its 2mil thick, not the BEST stuff on the market, but at 150 a roll, i wasnt gonna complain in comparison to 3m's prices.

What film did you use, and how wide was it? I just got my 3M vinyl for my 90 in today.
