ok, headlight time....
euro light brackets 8)

i like the look of the blacked out surrounds in the 4kq lights.. so that's what i did today, and here's how i did it.
first off, take the lenses off by removing the clips. carefully pop the lense off. sometimes the gaskets likes to stick... so be real careful removing it from the glass. you can carefully scrape it off by lifting and scraping at the same time as i had to do on one of my lights....
clean the lense real well

mask as desired

then put a start to spray light coats inside. heavy ones won't do any good

both drying for a little while...

next for the reflectors

do yourself a favor and take a piece of tape, stick it on the flat surface you plan to paint, and pull it off... see if the silver comes with it. if it does... DON'T TAPE INSIDE THE ROUND PART... it will pull it off and make it ugly. find another way to mask it
i got lucky this time, but haven't in the past.

i mask the surroundings as best i can to prevent ugly overspray

with everything done and removed it should look like this

this method of masking the inside of the lense works just like the ol' RC car bodies

viola'! finished product!

and a little test fit on the car
i need to remove one broken screw so that i can have all four mounting point securing the light. that's good for longevity of the other three tabs
