Lol sorry a little more context - that video is old. From the night I thought the knock sensors were the problem, before you came up. I'm just currently waiting for a replacement coil to arrive and then I *should* be good to drive it.

Well snap. Retired the Geo yesterday... not from active duty, but it's out of my hands now. I gave it to a friend, and he gave me his Jetta TDI sedan that I'm going to sell for parts. It's windows, ac, power steering, and now alternator are broken (lol... couldn't catch up on maintenance). I replaced the Geo with a europa 04 Jetta wagon, TDI. Damn BEW with potential cam issues... But it's sooooooo nice, lol. Cruise control is amazing. Has an issue that I've posted about on TDIclub, it's a weird engine vibration. Once I get that sorted out it's time for a tune and straight exhaust.

But anyway, onto the important stuff. My coil from 034 should be here tomorrow so I can see if the car actually works or if it's just going to keep killing itself. Wooo! I started re-routing the coils under the rain tray but I'm waiting on lengthened wires 1, 2, and 3 so I can mount it where I want to. Goan' b cln as fk.

Matt,

I would have went to the wreckers, grabbed a chevy truck or LS coil, made up a little jumper harness and drove the thing.

Just my 0.02

Cheers,

Craig

I know what you mean, I've been debating putting dad's coils in for a while... but in the end it's just more work that I don't have time for. Gotta keep the amount of work to a minimum, and if that means waiting longer for the right parts, that's what I gotta do.

If dad is up for it I'm gonna try to spend a bit tuning it tonight and start making some real boost.

We spent 2.5 hours on the car tonight, one buttoning it up and another hour and a half tuning. Got a misfire at about 6300 consistently so I'm going to assume trigger. Gonna move the sensor a touch closer. But I tuned to 6k anyway :-)

I like 240kpa. Also my fuelling is damn near perfect now, and ego re - enabled. I could leave the car like this and be happyhappyhappy.

2430 miles. Hmmmm. 36 hours of driving. I think I'd have to fly. Also, it might just be me, but I don't think the car would do that without issues lol.
