Installed the VEMS ecu, connectors, wideband 02 sensor and round gauge.
Had to go get a serial to USB cable so I wont be able to try and start the car until tomorrow with that.

And why intercooler painted black ?Afterthought wrote:![]()
So it doesn't stick out so much.AudiQuattros wrote: And why intercooler painted black ?
Not really. I think you would be splitting hairs at this point, but the amount of heat exchange that would be lost by the thickness of the paint would be minuscule if even measurable (if that is what you're referring to).88a5tq wrote:Won't that decrease it's effectiveness?
Black probably does exchange heat better.ringbearer wrote:Smokey Yunick Believed a thin coat of flat black helped dump heat.
Interesting. I noticed on YouTube of course there are arguments to support both sides of that discussion. For me, The reality of it is there are alot of things I see that will affect the IAT's more than paint on the intercooler.scubagli wrote:http://youtu.be/z_mmmXTbLP0
Pretty cool...

Yes sir... A wire nut!the german wrote:um, wow. Is that a wire nut?!
Wiring for lights is simple- just the same any B4. Do your lights have adjuster motors with them?
As far as the headlights I think your plan is the best, retain my b4 plugs and go halogen now so I can just have lights and focus on other things!the german wrote:And the troubleshooting + tuning begins!![]()
For the headlights I got rid of my HIDs and went with the stock H4 bulbs. Looks like you have b4 connectors on there already so you should be able to easily rip all that sketchy HID wiring out and go back to halogen bulbs quite easily.
I switched to rs2 turns in the front bumper- stock connector and bulb socket plugs right in, no modification necessary.

Ha... You mean the fact that it hasn't had that hole drilled in the top yet?mushasho wrote:Virgin wastegate!
