Page 2. Well, what you can see of it.

I am watching this closely. I think this will be in my future.

Sadly no. Would love to have one. But it's just not currently in the budget.

Did some work this afternoon. Almost complete. So more smoothing on the inside of the plenum, then chop the end square for the throttle body plate, weld that on and we are finished with that end of it. Then onto injector bungs.

Got the throttle body on the intake manifold. Just need to get the injectors in there and then finish flap wheeling the inside then I can weld the sides back on and be done with that.

Should be a nice short pipe into the intercooler end tank, which will be a backdoor style tank.

This is coming along quite nicely. Making me seriously consider putting an 07K in my 80q.

did you weld any of the inside of the IM? I hope you got good penetration with grinding the welds off like that

Pretty much the entire inside seam wise was welded and then ground smooth as well. Beveled both sides of the aluminum and went to town

So. Started a new gig in the recent months involving graining and polishing stainless steel for a local outfit that builds numerous things for big pharma companies mainly. So that's what I've been up to. Not much car working on going on. But I now have TONS of nifty ideas for the parts I need to make still now that I have access to much nicer tooing at work. CNC lathes, mills, a waterjet, polishing equipment, etc.

So. I'll leave ya with some pics. Moving my garage around to get a nice space for a welding table. Some pics of my tig skills that are coming along as well.

It'll get interesting here soon. So stay tuned!!
