Oh, one night I plumbed the boost solenoid and instead of running off the wg spring I Uh....woulda boosted forever if it weren't for the 33psi boost cut in the map lol. For that split second before it cut fuel it felt awesome though!

so, got some vids.

this tune is from another 20v that was in a mk2 gti, same injectors that i have in there and fuel pump setup. im lower compression, larger intake mani, t4 turbo instaed of t3 and also his was a 62mm mine is the 67mm both were billet PTE units. i do pulls, take logs, send em away, then we tweak them here and there. still on wg which is only 18psi. but is pulls pretty good, the cold starts are amazing, especially for 2200cc injectors and e85 and the part throttle driveability is awesome too. other then that, cant wait to turn the boost up....and i think im going to look into a drag radial setup as well cause the rt615s arent going to cut it, lol.

my buddies s4 that went 13.2 at the track, he told me he beeped three times for the launch, but i couldnt hear a thing....not that it would have matter cause 1st is a smoke show anyway.

ya, first ive gotta turn the launch control down for the street cause first is completely pointless....i think i traveled 15 feet maybe 20 trying to race that s4, or just learn how to launch better, the sti race it seemed to hook better but idk. secondly, im going to get me a set of these guys i think....

theyre the same size as my tires now that i have on the ROTA's so they should fit perfectly.

thirdly, i need to get on the dyno and crank the boost up because this 18psi junk on a pretty large turbo actually pains me to drive, haha. i can just feel like the things going to be wild once we get more air moving through the motor.

lastly, i really need to figure out why the speedo doesnt work only at WOT. i can try a few other things that a few people suggested, but if those dont work....they always give you a piece of paper at the end of every 1/4 mile run.

You can't make this schit up.

Granted I may have dumped the clutch a bit too hard on both launches, they were only my 4-5 time s launching the car. And I shoulda locked the rear diff as well, that have helped.

I really thought those falken rt615s were gonna be ok, they do pretty well once you get into second gear or now. Idk what they would do with more boost and more power though.

do you have an 01E or 016? Stock center diff or high bias?

01e welded center torsen. Lockable/unlockable rear.

Ya I just gotta jack up the rear a bit and slide under there with someone else in the car pulling on the pto cable I have rigged up in there to engage/disengage the locker to make sure it's all adjusted right.

locked center & locked rear = have fun parking

Thats why it's on a push/pull cable.

Hopefully get to weigh the car Thursday night too if the weather is good. Im excited to see what that is. Im a small dude, and I have no problem pushing the car myself outta the garage and actually stopping it as well without touching the ebrake, so it can't be terribly heavy.

not a matter of pushing, its rolling friction. mine rolls much better on street tires than it does slicks, even with the slicks FULL of air as well.

we will see hopefully come thursday....
