mmmm, snow :) old school quattro ftw... period. i plowed snow until i was floating on the belly, then backed out of it.... can't say that about the A6 :P it was also great fun to go along in 4th gear, then downshift into a corner and get the tail to slide out and pull a long sideways corner :D :D

i have a video, but i'm having a difficult time with it as the computer is telling me it's corrupted :( my memory card has not been cooperating with the computer for the last few days :x

Doing third and forth gear drifts the a stock/chipped turbo car at its awesomeist. Putting that much torque through the torsen really makes it lock up nicely.

unfortunately no :( i mentioned the camera card giving me fits and i couldn't take any of them off the card and put them on my hard drive :( i was lucky enough to get them uploaded though.

i went back up to the snow with a couple friends a few hours ago, and all that snow on the road is pretty much melted and gone. it went quick! i do have some video of me plowing snow though, i'll get it up here soon. it was funny.. i wondered why the steering got so hard after i went through the deep stuff... i completely packed the front wheel wells and up around the engine. the snow lost it's fluff :(

i seem to remember you having a situation where the CAC corners didnt line up properly with the other sections. how was that resolved?

they still don't line up perfectly. i just got them as close as possible and called it a day because i didn't want to ground out the mounting holes for the lights.

Yeah I wonder too about that. My car is a bit lazy too but it hits 12 psi pretty good. I've got an aan n75 in my car I'd like to get the race valve but the price spiked at 034.
I don't know if you have full function over the ecu in your car Derek but you can run the output tests and listen for all the solenoids clickin.

yeah, i should check that thing when i get back. i need to put an alt. in it as the one in it took a dump on the way back from the snow :(

Mine had a very slight crack in the plastic housing when I got the car. You wouldn't think it would effect it that much but it did. Even if the WGFV is working it could not be doing it's job to a T no pun intended. :-D

yay! exhaust bits are coming in :D

2.5" SS and 3" SS bits :)

resonators...

affordable V-band clamps

plan is for a 3'' downpipe that splits into a dual 2.5"... of which one side will have resonators to muffle the sound, the other side won't be muffled... but it'll have a butterfly at the start of it so i can choose noisy good flow, or quiet easy going for regular driving when i don't want to be annoyed.

Derek-
What resonator did you choose? Right now I have the cat and center removed- have just the stock rear muffler on my urq - a bit too loud for me - and it's too quiet with both factory center and rear - looking for a nice compromise - your choice _looks_ like it could fit the bill - speaking of which - how much was it? link?

Thanks-

Brandon

Looks like it was an inexpensive take-off for D- maybe a truck which he's gonna modify to fit his car.

for starters i think i'll just give the resonators that came with the exhaust sections and see how it sounds, i don't have to comply with emissions where i live, so no cat for me :D

these systems are take offs from toyota tundras (5.7) and are all mandrel bent. i didn't take the main muffler as my car would sit about 3" taller while dragging the muffler body along the ground :P

If you have a small resonator on some 2.5" tubing that you would sell cheap - let me know.

Thx!

ok, so i put the IA chipped ecu in... man this thing is quick! it's a bit laggy, and the boost sorta hits weird.. like jumps in stages 15psi, then bam 20psi (it didn't do that on the car the ecu came off of), but i have a couple things roaming around in my head that it could be...

#1. N75 valve (still needs to check it)
#2. choked up exhaust
#3. compression drop with the double stack gaskets

i'm gonna check the N75 here just shortly and report back if it's clicking or not.
