We played aorund with the conical taper on the dual plenum, but it doesn't lend itself to a front mount radiator or vac brake setup. A side entry is a better shot, and will be a smoother transition into the main plenum while giving all cylinders a better shot at smooth air.

Yep, those are good reasons.

Thanks Dave.. It is really nice cutting parts out on the CNC router table, as parts come off ready to weld without any clean up. Very nice fit up and that is 90% of being a good welder.

So let me get this straight. The 07k is a stout motor ready to handle good amounts of boost, correct? And Sean's is getting internals done? How much insanity are we hoping for here?!?

I can't wait for BBQ this year :D

Considering other 07K'd cars (vw Golfs/jettas) that make 4 digit numbers, this set up to my lame eyes looks like 800+hp. Maybe more?

I think the bottleneck is between the flywheel and the tires, not sure what they've been up to there.

Yes please!
Got any spare 07K's sitting around with a forged crank? I might be convinced to take one home with me at the BBQ.

That is a 4" core. Could have done 4.5" pretty easily. Core support is 100% untouched
