Whats everyone,

So here i am again, this project started on sunday morning. Every now an then i get on craigslist to see what kind of audi parts/cars are being sold locally. After searching a a while i came across this:
http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/4446055120.html
So it ended up not running, $1200 later its in front of my house :D

So that put me up at 3 audi 200's, 2 1990 20v and 1 1991 20v. I had an hour to work on it today after work. Figured out it didnt have spark, checked both engine speed sensor and engine timing sensor and resitance are with in spec. I checked the ignition coild and didnt get a reading. Seams like that the root of the no start issue. I will be ordering a new one, anyone know of a good place to order one?

Thanks for looking!

What Casey said.

But, if you need a coil, I've got a few sitting around, as I'm sure many others on this forum do, as well.

I was talking to the guy that sold it to me, nice guy by the way. He had a new gear installed into it. I didnt take the time to physically check but if the new ignition coil doesnt fix it i am going to remove and double check. Thanks!

Yup! I sure did :foff: i couldnt let this one pass me by, i had to pull some favors but i got it! Well i was only able to work on it for about an hour. So i hope thats it. The guy said it has a urs2 exhaust manifold, how can i make sure it is a legit urs2 manifold?

the fuck is a urs2 haha - take a picture of the manifold and someone will identify it probably to within the month it was made :)

Excited to hear you get it running, I can type out a list of common always f'd things once you get to code scanning/driving. Hopefully it has some goodies installed, is the WG spring tapped?

No idea... would think that's the same as the stock 3B manifold unless he meant RS2

This is straight from the craislist add:
"Has a stage 2 chipped ecu in the car I am unaware of brand. Urs2 exhaust manifold"

Ill take a pic of the manifold today.

Yeah the wastegate is tapped, he said it has a 1.9 bar spring. That would be nice to have, that way i know what to check/replace. Also i noticed that the fenders came rolled, do these cars come with them stock?

Whoa! Nice find!

The easiest way to distinguish between the two manifolds is by checking the routing of cylinder 1 and 5. Stock will put them high near the wastegate, while RS2 (and its knock-offs) more or less dumps them in one central location.

RS2 vs stock 200

Top is RS2

The 20v 200's came with fender flares and side markers as a couple distinguishing factors

adding to Wombat's note yes the factory fenders are "Rolled" from the factory.

Good to know! Love the way the fender flares look, they really change the way the body looks.

Guys,

After looking at the picture that aktapod provided (much appriciated!) I believe i do have the RS2 manifold  i was looking at the picture and the manifold on the 20v does not have the spaces like the manifold on the bottom. I will upload some pics as soon as i get home.

It seems that the WG runner is the easiest thing to see from above. Sounds like its a nice lil sleeper and deal!

Dirty, that is a nice piece! Next items I would check/replace before driving:

Change oil use non synthetic (I have found it really helps not make the turbo smoke the morning after hard cornering and beating)
Change Fuel Filter
Check the Vacuum Lines
Put a new Vacuum reference line from engine bay to ECU (Kind of a bitch, but it's worth it because it will become a problem guaranteeitguy.gif)
New Plugs work wonders
Tigheten all of your Boost clamps
Buy some HPR mounts I bet yours are broken

Kind of jealous of the color…. :Kicks sand in the ground:

Thanks for the list! I will look into getting that done as soon as i can. "all motor mounts have been replaces with apikol high density motor mounts and all trans mounts have been replaces as well "
So i should be good 8-)
