trying to figure out URS6 ride height difference.

Ive posted about my URS6 avant's ride height before but i found something different. another URS6 avant pretty much identical to mine showed up at my garage for repairs and it sat lower than mine. so in the process of replacing the head gasket i took a look at the suspension under it and to my amazement the car has the same identical H&R sport springs with part #29221 along with bilstein shocks on all 4 corners. the other car sits well over an inch lower the whole way around compared to mine. they both have 18in wheels, my car has 245/45/18's and the other car has 255/40/18's. can anyone explain why the other car sits lower than mine???
my car is the one on the left with the porsche twists, you can see how much lower the other car is by the front wheel gap.

I would have to say that his springs are older, and sagged over time. Or there was a change in manufacturing at some point...you could do the old hotrod trick, put some blocks under the car at the height you want it to sit and heat the springs with a torch till they sag...

My old boss got me to torch the springs on my 71 suburban. Ruined the ride and and weight capacity. I would stay far away from anything even close to that.

Well i already planned on removing the front spring perches and moving them down a little because my car looks like its higher in the front than the rear. im not sure if my rear bilstens have the adjustable perch in the rear as well. i was hoping they do and their at the top setting right now. does anyone know if there's a difference in bilsten sport and bilsten HD shocks that might affect the height?

Sports are for lowered suspension.
You should do coilovers

Sorry, nothing to add aside from the Avante Garde BBS wheels look amazing. Almost make me consider 18s.

That other car has been modified somehow to get it to sit that low. 29921 is not normally anywhere near that low.

Doing some digging on the 29921 springs...are they low enough that you need (or should) do the Igor Mod to get a proper alignment?

The 29771 are the lowest H&R springs made for these cars, they are app'd as the "Race" version, and you need to do the Igor mod or slot your OEM plates for them to get proper alignment. I doubt you need the Igor mod for the 921's, we have installed them and aligned the cars just fine. I believe the other car may have had a coil cut from each spring, likely from the 'dead" coil section, to get it that low..the Bilstein Sport is about 30mm shorter than the HD or Touring shocks.
As mentioned the bet way to get the ride height and handling you want is going to be coilovers.

I'd do coilovers if the budget allowed, but this is not a vehicle warranting that kind of cash right now. Thanks for the info though.
