by A20V200
Picked up a barely used 2015 Audi S3 Premium Plus Monsoon Grey - about a month ago from another Audi enthusiast. He was looking to jump into a new BMW M3 and looking to get rid of his S3 and TT-RS (don't ask me?) he had for the last year. I got it on the cheap...4400 miles brand new and about $6K in mods/upgrades done to it already...

This is what was done to it when I got it...
CTS Intake - CTS BOV - Bull X Catless Downpipe - CTS LW Crank Pulley - Unibrace UC Brace - Unibrace Rear Brace - GIAC Stage 1 - H&R Supersport Springs - CTS Turbo Muffler Delete - CTS Throttle Pipe - Stage 2 UM DSG SW - Tie Fighter DSG Paddles - 19x8.5 XXR wheels(sold)

Ha ha ha..yes update time.

Well I got 50% of what I wanted to do done.

Intercooler installed and E-codes and the "secret box" items put together but not installed. A little fab work needs to be done and it should be good to go in a week or 2. Wrapped the deck lid spoiler in Matte carbon just like the mirrors for fluidity.

Gorgeous. After the TTRS stuff is wrapped up, we are thinking about developing a kit for the R/s3

Well dang Hank...get on it!!! :P

I would rather buy from you than APR.

What about a motor swap to a 5pot turbo? No - seriously.

Mechanicall, it is VERY easy. Software side, I can't really comment on, as I haven't tried. My hunch is it isn't impossible, just a lot of devel

Looking good Andy! How come the RS3 grill didn't go on when you had the bumper off?

Good eye Alex. There are other items that go with that RS3 Grill....they needed a bit of "modification" to accept the grill etc. That will be coming up next week.

Stay tuned

Picked this up for 1/3 of the price today..too good of a deal to pass up!!! Should add moar growl!!!

No real power gains to be had vs. stock...more for tone/sound...

Update: Got the exhaust on...Holy shit ballz is this thing LOUD!!! No really F'N LOUD!! What I can't hear you....

With a DP and no Cat and no Resonator....it deafening in sport mode with the BRAPS from the DSG. I may throw on an 18" glass pack and try to quiet this exhaust down..if that doesn't work...I can sell it easy enough. Oddly enough when cruising its nice and quiet and no more drone than stock which is just barely.....hmmm.

The parts in the box add up to this...A real OEM RS3 front end on an S3 in North America....say what!!!!? I need a little bit of body work and it should be done by next week.

So what should it be RSS3 or S3RS...?

Well done, the RS front is gorgeous.

Is the new exhaust only loud when you boot on it, or all the time? If it's decent while cruising, that may be the best of both worlds, no?

Yes...When I first put it on, it was loud throughout the range except when cruising....the "DSG braps" were really loud...now its more tame and when I get on it the other valves open up and it sounds mean!!!

That front end looks amazing. Did you need to do some fender work to get it to line up perfectly?

Thanks...its not done yet..but yes...it goes to the body shop to get some minor fender work so it matches up with the RS bumper tomorrow.

Should have it mounted and fenders done in a couple days.

Here is what the RS3 bumper and S3 fender looked like after the first dry fit. A little gap and some trim lines needed to be tweaked.

Body work modifications update. Lots of things going on here.

Pulled the fenders out to meet the RS bumper
Skim coat of body filler to make it nice and match the body lines
Adding recessed fender trim line into the RS bumper to keep it looking like it left the Audi factory that way

The end result should look something like this....!!

Well...that took a loooooooong time to get done at the body shop. 22 days to be exact. They were trying to fit me in between collisions and other stuff as to keep the cost down....but DANG!!! Glad to finally have it back in my hands. Everything came out great...a couple details here and there, but overall happy with the overall look of the RS3 front end.
