I know, I know. Don't give me too much shit. But I'll be going down with some friends to make a big weekend out of it.
Anybody else going to be in the area?
Vegas locals, anybody gonna drop by?

I'll probably suffer thru it again this year ;o] My cars never seem to get much luv there but I go and support it anyway.

yup, any tool can show up with a late model VAG on bags and a matte finish wrap and win a prize.

Yet a car with a historic past doesn't get a second look.

I may not register this year out of protest, but I'll go park and take a look around.

I have been passively thinking about setting up a booth at Wuste this year, but really will only do it if I can get a couple of 07k cars there to help bring in some 07k market share with the transverse guys as well.

Use your ol mans TT as a prototype for an 07K swap with plug in play VEMS.
Or you can use mine. :drunk:

Don't pay any attention to the manly talk from Jim. Hank and I just missed out on a 2001 225hp TT with 81k miles and a blown motor that went for $2800. It looked to be imaculate in and out and would have made a great 07k swap candidate with plenty of spare parts for mine. :)

You know John, the original TT like yours grows on me more every day. It's still a really unique looking car.

No worries here, it's just my DD. I do think it's a pretty nice platform to start with. Dare I say its the closest thing to an actual new UrQ ? :P

One of these days the perfect 3.2 DSG TT is going to fall into my lap with a busted engine and then I will live with the Miata looks from people when I swap in an 07k :)

no, just give it a beard. Or...if you do it longitudinal it negates any broken wrists the car may have from the factory. :-D
