Carlisle 2016 TSHIRT ORDERS CLOSED!!!

Happy hUmpday!

It's our 13th year for the Audi Club at Carlisle! All Audis--all years--welcome!

The show/get together = Friday May 20th thru Sunday May 2nd, 2016 (this is the Import Performance Nationals) held in lovely Carlisle, PA at the fairgrounds, right off of the PA Turnpike.

If you're new to this...search the forum for "Carlisle" and you'll see a ton of posts. Or go to http://www.audi4000.com for the past years pics! A few different shows are merging this year, so the showfield will be more active and lively with different import makes and models.

Many folks arrive bright and early on Friday morning to set up camp and get acclimated to the grounds, visit the swap meet/vendor area, or just hang out!

Market Cross has been booked for Friday at 6pm! When you email me please specify if you would like to join and how many will be in your party.

HOW TO:

We're all going to register under one name--The Audi Club. (It's actually on a drop-down on the registration site)

The direct link at the bottom of this post will let you register online if you have a credit card.

Or to check out Carlisle's main site, go to http://www.carsatcarlisle.com. Go to "View Our Events" at the top of the page and the Carlisle Import Performance Nationals will be a few spots down. Click "View Event Details" for further information and to register. Ensure you select "2016 Carlisle Import Performance Nationals Nonjudged Showfield" as there is a separate link for KIT cars.

*****If you register before APRIL 18th you will receive a 10% Gate n Go discount. Your sticker will be mailed to you. Once you register you will be emailed a receipt - Please bring this to the event*****

The cost is $40 for the first car you bring. This $40 includes you, one guest, and your car for the entire weekend!
On that same link, you can also register to camp for $20, and you can register for both in one transaction. Camping is on-site, near where we park our cars, and there's a shower/bathroom facility with electricity, warm showers, flushing toilets, lovely bathroom attendants (Butch and Angie!), etc. If you plan to partake in any boozing that may occur, I strongly suggest camping so there's no issues with driving to your hotel afterwards.

You know the drill: PLEASE EMAIL ME ONCE YOU REGISTER: theaudiclub@gmail.com (please be sure to include your name, online handle, vehicle, where you are coming from, and if you will be joining us for dinner at Market Cross).

I have reached out to George regarding the Mechanicsburg Audi breakfast and we are ON for breakfast at the dealership again this year :) :)

Originally we had planned on catering in food. Unfortunately with the cost and the lower than expected number of people signing up, it will not be financially feasible to proceed with it this year. For the time being, unless there are other suggestions, lunch/dinner will be a BYO.

Tshirt info is below. In order to have them for the show they need to be ordered today! We had a huge challenge with shirts this year but Steve came through for us!

woot woot.

I'm not all too excited about having the showfield even more crowded than it is already, i feel that the kids and their imports are going to scare a lot of people off from coming. I'm still going to come anyways cause i like seeing you guys and i like seeing all our projects. That being said... I am not looking forward to the kids asking me "how fast does your car go" questions, or "damn that's a huge spoiler", or "look at that sauerkraut".... speaking of which... market cross pub has the best reubens.

Hope others will still come out, the people and the audi group make it one of my favorite shows to attend each year.

Yeah, I'm not going to let the fear of the different crowd scare me away from hanging out with our great crew! I did express my concern about camping, because it seems cramped already.

Anyhow, time to get my butt in gear and figure out what I'm gonna bring!!!! Looking forward to seeing you, Cory!

I will request my days off now. I might not be there with Jessica, but I will do everything I can to be there with myself and the avant at least! I think I'm going to sleep in the back of it lol. Maybe even have a 6758 on it by then?

I'll be road tripping down with Dana... too bad that's two more 4cyls. Per usual I will probably leave registration until the last minute and generally try to be as unprepared as possible.

I'm registered with a camping spot this year.
I dropped the rear subframe and control arms off at the powder coater today.
I've got to get my tail in gear And do the following stuff:
Reassemble the power steering resivour and other related junk after replacing some hose sections.
Acquire a tent and other stuff.
Fix my intermittent check engine light ( I hope it's a fuel filter causing it to starve)
Install Newer Rear subframe, mounts and bushings
Front subframe mounts and bushings
Shocks and springs
Get it aligned

I'd like to do the headlights rear speakers and keyless entry but that's just crazy talk.

Things I've done
I got the tent and footprint for it, still need a cot or pad and a bag.
I reassembled the power steering reservoir

Things I've added to my list.
Need to tell my wife I'm camping the year.
One way or another I need to find a new boss.
The hunt for a boss may cause some of the things on my list to be postponed.

Jack

Things I've done:
Fail to register
Buy new parts
Set unrealistic expectations/timelines
Show no follow through

See you guys in a month and a half and thank you to all the organizers :)

I would love to make it. Not sure what will be under the knife at that point BUT I doubt the CQ will be, so it may be able to make the trip (if I figure out the windows and/or fix the A/C)...

Thanks. I added the food information to the main post.

Anyone in for tshirts this year? On the fence about them so I wanted to get some sort of head (or body) count for them :)
