My center gauge, monitoring the Oil Pressure is starting to read 5 Bar now and it used to start up that high and go down as the engine wamred up and the oil became less viscous...is this a tell-tale sign the oil pressure sending uunit is on the fritz? Or coudl there be an internal issue arrising? I have fresh Mobil1 5w30 with less than 3k miles in it and the oil level is in check...what do you think this might be?

I think you may just have a broken wire or bad sensor. Any time I have had an issue with the gauge pegging, it has been a broken wire or wires backwards at the sensor.

This link is for a 200 20v, but the idea is the same, and the tests are the same.
