MS on a 20v

To those that have gone megasquirt on 20v's, I have a question. On MS3 or MS3X, can you do single coil distributor ignition with just the 5 window dizzy as the timing sensor, or do you need to put a 60-2 timing wheel on? also, if it cant be done on MS3, can it be done on MS2?
