the font is actually from the TV show airwolf lol. as for a timeline im not really sure as of yet because we still have a bit to work out prior to letting public beta testing happen. some of the values are not displayed right and the video of the app is the basically V0.1 so its the very beginning. we have been working on it as a sort of side project so its an on and off type thing.

You probably ought to give PRJ / Dmitri credit for the datastream code you ripped off.

yeah, we've been talking about the dev of the new board. should be a nice product. I have pretty strong evidence that the datastram (ecu side) of Matt's work here is stolen code. the android side is their own work, but thats the easy part.

credit will be given to all in time, no names where mentioned yet and the app's have an about where credit is given to each person who played a role in this. why do you jump the gun like this marc? im not looking to make money off of this, i want to make the ECU better.

because I know what went into producing boost via the datastream and how it was done. no offense to you or anyone you are working with, but its over your head. copy->paste is the only way you managed it.

now why do you have to insult me marc? thats not cool. i already said credit will be given where its due. also yes i do understand how the data is passed between the boost processor & the motor processor, are you quizzing me know to see just how much i have really learned? i didnt want this project to bring anger between people, i wanted it to evolve and bring people closer. its been a long time since anything new has been seen for the stock ECU so myself and some other aspiring minds have come together to give something new to the community. i dont get why you have to be so negative towards this. if you want involved all you have to do is ask. it would be great to have you on board to test the app's with us marc. im sorry that i did not bring this to your attention when we started the project because i feared your reaction would be exactly what i am seeing now and how i was treated by dimitri in the past did not help my want to include anyone outside of the original circle of us that has worked on this. like i said before im not doing this to get rich, im doing this because i want the URS community to evolve and be better.

i know this, i mean do you want me to be more specific because i can, thats not a problem. why are you acting like this? you never bashed or insulted anyone before, you always embraced new ideas and concepts until this. i dont understand why you have to be so negative toward me or this project. calling me an idiot, saying a copy/paste, and over all just bashing me isnt going to put me down, its fueling me to do more and make it better. if your intentions are to turn the URS community against me thats not very cool either. so lets put it all out on the table right here, right now in front of the whole audi community. so why im a horrible person for participating in the creation of an android & ios based digital dash with logging? is it because someone else outside of you and PRJ knows something or has a capability now? is it because something was achieved without your input or participation in the project? i havnt done anything wrong and i dont get this anger and negativity you are displaying.

if you are so open source, post your ASM code breakdown as well as a description of the fields in the dataset you came up with. I'm not naive Matt. if this is a brilliant flash by you and your crew, prove it. otherwise just own up and give credit to Dmitri for his work that you cloned.

that will be posted in time, im good for my word. you want me to post everything but at the same time it seems like your protecting everything you know from the public so im sort of confused. if i gave up the whole deal you would than be mad because i gave too much. its like your trying to put me in a lose/lose situation with you. i know your not naive marc, i never said you was stupid or insulted you. i praise the work you've done with the stock motronic and VEMS alike. you have given a lot to the community and i want to do the same. like you gave the info on converting to HFM5 MAF, yes you, im giving you credit. that was made by you and dimitri and i make sure anyone who asks about knows where it came from. still why are you being so difficult about this? its a cool new toy for the stock ECU. what do you want me to say? i already said credit will be given to those when the time comes.

If any of that is indeed true - I would say he is going easy on you considering this is his board and business. If it is truly for the community of 2.2T posting some proof would surely help do just that - many of us can understand it very well.

Royalties are especially important when a good idea takes off!

royalties are fine and dandy but my whole intention is for this to be free. im not looking to profit from it at all. so basically it will be free for marc or anyone who chooses to use it. i dont understand why everyone is all up in arms about it, most people know me from the boards and know that im not about getting rich because that will never happen. i have a passion for these cars and anything i can create to improve them i will provide at little or no cost to everyone because thats just how i am. greed only causes problems in my opinion.
once there is a decently bug free app made i plan to simply post the APK & IPA files with XDF files for tuner pro that will patch both motor and boost binaries. for now the IOS version will only work with jailbroken apple devices or the app can be side loaded to a non jailbroken ios device with cydia impactor. I will provide cydia repo information for jailbroken devices and how to side load the app with cydia impactor when the IPA file is released. we have been investigating into getting the IOS version on to the apple app store as a free download but we have to have it approved by apple and thats the catch. the android version can be added to the play store fairly easily. once again im doing this for the URS community and not for profit.

im not using his specific code, i created my own version for use with the apps, i already explained this. yes the over all function is similar because there is only a few ways it can work properly. but if its such a big deal than i'll just keep the app's to myself and the few other people that worked on it. your welcome everyone. also please no one come asking for the app's, the patchers or even the source code for the app's. if its that "easy" than it will be no problem for any of you to create a similar setup in your spare time because you seen it is possible to do it. please lock or delete this thread marc, im over sharing.

I'm not talking about the android code Matt. Anybody can come up with that. Its sort of like saying that you invented the car because you stitched your own steering wheel cover.

Dmitri had to create a special routine that passes the boost data between the two boards. an extremely non trivial task.

the binary code from the ecu bin you copy and pasted to produce your datasteam. you even mis-identified one of the fields, but you'll figure that out eventually.

and regarding deleting the thread, not sure you've noticed, but we dont do that here. you're just going to post it somewhere else anyway.
