urq Suspension Dimensions

I managed to find a high-res version of this image (http://www.kvquattro.com/1987Audi400...ttroFrame.html) but I'm not entirely sure I'm reading it correctly.

Do the "Note: Parts Removed" denote the distance from the datum line to the unibody mounting point itself? By that I mean, if I was building a chassis jig without the subframes, my distances from the datum line should be: 194/156 (front) and 179/211 (rear)

I believe this is correct but would like confirmation because I'm having trouble feeling confident in my gut-check subframe measurements.

Thank you in advance!

That's how I interpret the dimensions.

I started building a jig also, although not finished, that's the measurements I'm using.

We'll see what the others say.

Cheers

Thanks Craig! S2 forum seems to agree as well.

I was lacking confidence because the first time I tried to measure to confirm the front/rear height differences of the front subframe, I wasn't getting a number that matched the "with parts removed" number. Knowing that those are what everyone else is using gives me the confidence to trust these numbers and not my own.

I believe I have the paper copies of these diagrams, I'll try to see if there is any further explanation.

What I have is a bit different, but wow there's some good stuff in there! Tells you where to cut, what types of welds/brazing to use/etc. Let me know if there is anything specific I can get pictures of for you.
I didn't see any z-related (waterline) measurements though. Most things are for checking chassis alignment and door/opening gaps/etc.

That's super helpful actually! And yeah, I wish it was that easy hahah

I have a regular 4000/CGT/urQ Bently and it has some of these drawings, I'm now struggling with an overall length measurement that doesn't make sense. These drawings say the rear-front subframe bolts should be 84.5" on center to the front-rear subframe bolts, but measurements off my 4000 bits and how they sit in general suggest it should be more like 82.5". I'll post pics in my build thread tonight but this stage of getting everything lined up is starting to drive me a bit crazy
