Freeing up AUX inputs in VEMS

So I'm attempting to find some extra aux inputs. Currently I believe they are all being used. both knock sensors, audi trigger setup, LC switch, Serial in, and I believe GPS in and one other. I'd like to add a config switching switch and possibly antilag, because, well why the hell not. I don't have my documents in front of me to tell me what aux is in what input and yada yada.
Am I able to just dump one of my knock sensors? from my understanding they don't even read the frequency of an i5 correctly on VEMS. From what I can tell some of the inputs are held up at 5 volts from inside the ecu already as well so I do not believe I can use those inputs, am I correct on that?
Ideally I'd like to switch to a 60-2 setup so that frees up one from the audi trigger setup as well.

Hey Phil. Finally made it over here. Incidently found myself looking up this exact question basically. I'm surprised it doesn't have any replies! Well now that I have the COP conversion kit in my possession, I found myself wondering if it would interfere with my plans to use launch control. Then I came across this thread and suddenly am quite worried it will. Did you get any answers outside of this forum or in pm's? I already started putting together the parts to use for the launch control too. Oh well, let me know. Thanks

Nevermind, Marc says its not going to be a problem.

In your case (88a5tq) the coils are using outputs, not inputs which is what this question is about.

Phil: if I were you I'd go down to one knock sensor, freeing up one analog input.

That's a huge relief Marc! Thanks I was beginning to worry about the number of leads on the conversion harness versus the number of open terminals on the "Aux plug." I guess it wasn't too difficult for you to figure out I am Julian from the emails we have exchanged haha. Im so impatient I already ran all the wiring and harnesses for the COP and launch control. Im definitely ready to dive into vems :flag:

Oh and sorry phil for resurrecting your dead thread lol. Maybe you've been waiting that long for a definitive answer to your question though

Haha no worries on the thread res. Thanks for the info Marc. Once I actually do something to the car, I'll probably remove one knock sensor.
