Does anyone know how to disassemble the steering rack? I'm trying to rebuild but can't figure out how to get it apart... Help!Image

Nice work, I might have to fo this. I have 3 racks lieing around. Maybe a good rebuild on one of them would be a good think.

I was hoping for more pics of the process so I could feel alright with buying a shorter rack at a (comparatively) premium price, haha

Yea didn't have the plan of documenting the rebuild from the start so I didn't take many pictures.... The hardest part was getting the seal out of the end of the rack where the steering rod or whatever it's called comes through. You need a slide hammer to remove it correctly and then there are some install tools as well to prevent any damage to the new seal when you reinstall that I didn't have, so it was a gamble. We'll see if it leaks after I get the motor back together.
