i have made up my mind. i will NO LONGER be campaigning the Coupe Quattro in drag racing. i am moving on.

i will be selling the dogbox trans with Wavetrac front diff, the sequential shifter, the triple disc clutch which worked out GREAT i might add. so basically the full roller chassis sans lightened components (will put replacements on it), AWIC/cooling/fueling, and electronics. no bumpers or parachute either.

it will have all of the following, with a list of optional parts/pieces as well.

complete 034 aluminum subframe bushing setup and Delrin control arm bushing sets.
Comp Brake top mounts.
it has forged control arms front and rear with my own rear tie rods and steering setup. removable steering wheel also.
fully certified NHRA 8.50 cage, recerted July this year good for 2 years. with window net per the rules.
Corbeau race seat can stay or go it dont matter.
lexan front windshield, and i have to try and find some window regulators for it.
custom coilover suspension made by me with Koni Sport front struts and Bilstein HD rears, and a choice of springs.
slotted and drilled rotors front and rear with braided lines.
pedal box and staging brake setup, proportioning valve and remote reservoir.
full custom axles good for around 800 AWHP. i am well over that and this is the reason i am moving on. i also have a complete extra set of axles as backups, with a couple spare cv's as well to go with them.
will leave the 4kQ driveline for using an 01E trans, as well the UrS4 shifter too.
will also be including the mounts for a newer 06A 1.8T motor and 01E trans.

i do have the dash i will include but i cut off all the mounts for it.
the drag rims and slicks would be extra but available.

i can also include the dash plate and all gauges as i have a full set extra. plus the boost gauge only goes to 40 psi and i need more than that. i run past that in second gear even!

car went 167mph this year comfortably.

and since you are wondering, i am picking up another CQ next week and doing a tube-frame chassis with a back halved tubbed rear end and automatic. moving upward and onward, going faster where i will eventually hunt the 7.xx zone.

i dunno, i am bored, tired of breakin stuff, and i guess it looks like i enjoy building more than driving? haha

yes. two much larger tires in the back, and two skinny tires in the front.

good luck Aaron. You're definitely on the right track if you want to go faster. Any driveline detail specifics yet?

well, some....

either a Powerglide or TH-400.
and got the Art Morrison catalog handy ;)

9" narrowed and spooled with Mosler axles and Strange spool i believe.
four link rear end. no Panhard bar but a diagonal X locater setup.
havent picked the drop out/carrier yet, but i think Strange or Yukon with Yukon gears.
back half chassis kit, and something along these lines but maybe not this elaborate. (see pic 2/3)
25.4 or 25.5 cage (whichever mine meets, it could go either way).
probably a strut or Mustang 2 front clip.
40" diameter tubs in the back. gonna be set up for 33" tires i think on a 15" rim. wide that is.

oh and still using the Audi 4 cyl motor :)

i think this is the kit it is going to be built like.

and then how it ties in with the cage follows along the lines of the lower ones. tie the framerails in with the lower hoop and bars, etc. all sheet metal and aluminum tin work done up to the B-pillars.
weird thing is the wheel tub will come in to the rear window area on the quarters, just more blackout there is all. i am excited for it, been wanting to do RWD for like ever.

these pics are a Chevy Monza, so very similar in size and shape to the Coupe Quattro. hatch back, short wheel base, etc.

think something along these lines but with a Coupe Quattro.... that might get more of a visual out there. i already have made this cars same trap speed, but 1.5 seconds slower. and since trap speeds are not what motivate me, ET does, well then i gotta change things up.
