Updated 2/21/14 for clarity

Most of you know, but maybe some don't so I'd like to get the word out.

A good friend of mine owns http://www.FuelInjectorDevelopment.com and supplies Bosch Motorsport EV14 injectors.

I want to give you guys the opportunity to purchase EV14 injectors at a reasonable price, so I have become a dealer for the FID products. Here is a list of the offerings. Prices are for a set of four. For five, divide the price by four and multiply by five. The prices here are retail. I can do significantly better for you guys, just PM me.

Also, there are various vendors on this website who can supply you with this brand of injectors. EFIexpress is one, and I believe Iroz Motorsport is a dealer as well. Feel free to get them wherever you choose. As long as you guys are getting a great deal, I'm happy :) And no, noone told me to add this paragraph, I just felt that it was the right thing to do!

Let me know here or via PM that you are interested.

*NOTICE!*
When running ANY fuel injector, make sure to change your fuel filter out to avoid any problems with seizing or sticking. It states right on the flow sheet that comes with these injectors that the warranty is only valid when the injectors are installed with a properly maintained fuel filtration system. Be sure to change your fuel filter! If you're running E-85, make sure your filtration setup is compatible.

Another note is that when running E-85, deposits can form on the injectors in the form of a sticky, black, goo. For more information on this substance, it's origins, and how to keep it under control, refer to this post. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showpost.php?p=37242444&postcount=42

What's the deal?

Does it have to be one over the other (IE. 1000cc or 1200cc)?

How long is this available?

When are they delivered?

Why PM you when you made a thread?

How many people required to get in on the group buy pricing?

*edit* See prices posted above. let me get pricing figured out for a big group. Expect at least 10% off of what you see there.

No.

How long is this available?

For the 1200s, I'm not sure, but for the others, we can do this whenever we get a group together.

When are they delivered?

They are in stock and ready to go out when you order.

Why PM you when you made a thread?

Good point, just let me know you are interested here if you want. I will send you contact details via PM though.

How many people required to get in on the group buy pricing?

See above.

Update:

Just spoke to FID and I'll become a dealer for them. This way I can sell them to you guys for an even better deal (but I can't advertise the prices). So now we're back to "PM me if you're interested" ;)

I'm not sure on pricing now, but let's see what kind of interest there is.

Also, there was some clarification. The price increase after the first of the year will only be on the 1200s.

Finally, there are many more injectors available (all EV14). They go from 550cc up to the 2000s (2150, 2250, etc. depending on who is selling them). I will get a full list shortly so you guys know what is available.

There is one in particular which is being called an 850 (same body as an ID1000, but flows about 5% less, a little under 950cc or so) which can be had for a pretty good pricing at the moment. I will give more details later on (should be tonight).

Hmmm, not looking for big injectors yet...not until I start collecting parts for 07k swap. However, I those 850's sound perfect for the V8 (no E85 within a reasonable distance or crazy power goals). Might be interested after Christmas.

Awesome. I'd guess I'll need some in the next 365.

So 5 of the 850cc would be 400, and 450 for the 1000s? One of those might be a good option for me.

Yep, that's right. I would go for the 850s. They flow close to the 1000s actually (low to mid 900s). Really nice injectors apparently. Sorry I can't offer first hand experience with all of these guys, but my bud has sold thousands and I will tell you what he tells me :)

Would these packages include all the needed extenders and adapters needed for PnP install? And what base Bosch injector are they modding the 1200's from? Would be cool for you to know now that you're becoming a dealer.

And so, are the prices changing after the new year or not? Am I tripping? did you say that?

Doesn't really address my concern, which had nothing to do with price... Oh whats the deal with Ev14 injectors with non Ev14 connectors? I always wondered about that... I understand it's not only FID, but most all of those +2000cc injectors use Denso, a couple 1200cc use our EV1 style, and the other smaller ones use Ev-6/14... These similarities are what lead me to believe and support the idea that FID injectors are indeed sourced from the same place... these little details interest me as it's not so black & white to find specifics...

I will check to be sure, but I think I remember hearing that they actually start ********. *edit* Sorry, FID does not want me to share the source information. They way they modify them is really nice too, basically doesn't leave any room for inconsistencies.

And yes, they have different connectors because Bosch made most of these to work with some OEM application.

What about injector characterization data?

Having actual tested data would be a feather in FIDs hat. Not just "they're the same as ID1000's." And not "borrowed" data. I think FIC had issues in that respect. I mean actual tested data.

Cheers,
Brady

That makes sense, only now I'm searching for an OEM that uses 1200cc injectors...

It's snowing here and I have way tooo much time on my hands... Lol

LOL, they aren't 1200 cc OEM.

Tim, they come with whatever adapter hats you need along with connectors, so you should be able to use any of them unless there is something special about the R32.

Brady, see here:

http://fuelinjectordevelopment.com/1200.html

Is this what you were looking for? Or were you suggesting that the data presented there is "borrowed?"

I don't think FIC had a problem in that area... they provide a test sheet with all of their injector sets showing static flow and they occasionally record some points on the dynamic curve. I've been there when they flow match them. Maybe I'm not following you.

Also, the 1200s from FID are not the same as ID1000s, they are the same as FIC1100s. They flow significantly more than ID1000s do (it isn't just a 100cc difference because the 1100s actually flow 1100cc on test fluid whereas the ID1000s only flow 1000cc on gas. The FID1200 is marketed as a 1200 to compete with the ID1000 (both names are given based on gas, not test fluid), but they do flow a true 1100cc on test fluid just like the FIC1100.

I know the naming is confusing. Blame that on ID for being so good at their misleading marketing that all of the competitors have to do the same thing to keep up!

Let me know if you need any other info and I will try to get it for you.

LPG converted V8's. 1200cc OEM injectors, but I believe they're low impedance.
