Why not, a DD project too...which may turn into a build thread someday. As you know, keeping a car like this stock is nearly impossible for people like us, lol.
So in the last few weeks I've been on the fence about picking up a new car for a daily. I was torn between a new R and a CPO B8 S4. Long story short, I decided that the only way I'd want to own the S4 would be brand new and it's a bit out of my budget at this point in my life. So yesterday I signed the papers and went home to put my trade in vehicle back to as close to stock as possible. Five hours later, the deal was done.
Here are a few pics, just stock of course:

The trade in car was My first brand new vehicle and my first VW. It was a 2010 Jetta TDI DSG sedan. I loved the mileage the car got, felt snappy with it's torque and loved all the tech/electronics it had. The TDI unfortunately lacked a lot of the "high line" features that the GLI Jetta's received. So, as it's in my nature the modding bug started quick. Long story short, it looked almost 100% factory GLI, but had an oil burning power-plant. RNS-510-e, 9W7, full color MFA, R-line blue needles, rain/light sensor with auto headlights, auto wipers, coming home, leaving home, euro LED tails, Koni's, Neuspeed sways front and rear, lip spoiler, LED interior and lots more I can't remember. I'll let a few pictures speak for the car:

The TDI was great however my 4 mile commute to work barely got the car up to temp in the winter months and I just wasn't using the car for what a TDI was intended for...highway. I will miss the 36mpg average for city driving though I think the R will fill its spot nicely.
First "mod" already started...the RNS510-E upgrade. I pulled the unit out of my Jetta prior to trading it in. A car of this caliber should include the real nav, and not the tiny screened 315
. So, not three hours after owing the car, swapped the units out. To my surprise, but as most of you guys probably know, the Bluetooth stopped functioning with the new unit in place. Upon further research, the RNS315 has Bluetooth internal. Luckily, I have the 9W7 bluetooth module out of my Jetta too however none of the wiring was there. Ordered my first part for the R, a Bluetooth harness.
That and also put my Proclip iPhone mount in. I was dreading having to buy another one since it was a different model car but the MKV clip fits perfect in the Golf 6! W00t!

I've also added a Neuspeed intake and APR stage 1 flash. The thing rips pretty damn good!
35% tint:

B5 S4 winter wheel setup:

With the pup (Quattro):

That's all for now. I'll probably be adding an APR HPFP, 42DD downpipe and accompanying Stage 2+ flash at some point in the near future as well. Also saved the coilovers from the TDI to go on here in the spring.
