I say definitely go HTA. There isn't any con to that argument.
Jim Green's 90q 20vt - 636whp 07k
Dont tell Peter, or other big turbo haters that. They think that we are 5 hp briggs and straton motors untill it gets up on boost. It is funny because I have the stock URQ boost gauge in my cluster, and I can get the needle in between the dots that signifies stock PSI at 3400. That is basically where the stock k26 spools.zarati wrote:You know... If you think about it. You really start building power at the same point the Stock 7A does. 4k RPM. But from 3,000 on your building more power. It may have Lag, but....
Like Jim told me, at 15psi, he was walking 95% of eerything at Spring Mountain, including r8's. I am pretty confident he could run 5 psi and walk any 7a, 20vt, and any 3.6 v8.
Jim, that vid is sweet. The audio is great. You can hear the wastegate dumping boost, almost to the strum of your logged PSI levels. Very cool

Thanks guys, this is a good turbo no doubt about it, but after riding in a few 3071'd ur-q's around the track, I want something that is closer in spool to the 3071. I spent the better part of last night on the internets and it you really have to push the HTA turbo's to get the extra flow. So the HTA 35R still puts me in that 30+ psi range that I feel is unceccessary. I want to take this exact dyno plot and move it down 1000 rpms
If anyone wants a dyno comparison of a particular turbo, I will be up for putting it on the car and doing a baseline if you split the dyno/fab costs with me. An HTA 3076 or PTE 5857 will make it onto this car in the next two months.
I was just looking through my thread and found this, lol. Stock JT motor vs my car.

Walk may be a bit much, on 15 psi it was pretty evenShavedQuattro wrote:Dont tell Peter, or other big turbo haters that. Minus das quattro!
Here are the only stock drivetrain parts left on the car. I am pretty sure the rear control arm bushings and and subframe bushings are factory. 230,000 miles later and a steady flow of boxes from 034 will finally give them a rest.
The subframe is cracked as usual and both axles are bent.
Going on the car:
New CV boots and two strait axles thanks to Yoda
034 Delrin CA bushings
034 Aluminum SF bushings
034 Rear tie rods
034 Ball joints
034 Density rear diff mounts
016 shifter bushing
