Looks like you have some positive camber in the rear too, maybe just from setting it down on the jack? Check the alignment of your upright:strut bolts, might get some more clearance out of it?

Might be the pic, or from the jack, the rear is -.5, the front is 0. I may bring the rear to -1.5

I'm wanting something definitely stiffer than the lowering springs I have now but comfortable enough to take on road trips and not rattle my teeth. By the way I got the wheels mounted and they look nice. Just what I wanted as far as style and size go.

You'll love them. They work really well going sideways up an on-ramp.

A 35mm offset with 8.5" wheels is borderline perfect on a CQ. 30mm offset is actually a little more perfect depending on the tire size. My wheels are 8.5 35mm and without a 5mm spacer on the fronts I know a 255/40/17 tire would rub, but at 30mm you can squeeze that tire in and not rub on the fenders either....depending on the tire manufacturer.

jim, your car looks so factory under the hood somehow. I dont know how you managed to build a mega horsepower monster that looks like it was OEM, but you did. Those wheels look fantastic too! This thing just keeps getting better.

Thanks, Dana. It definitely takes more work than normal, and lots of staring and pondering before diving in. I have also learned that it leads to a more reliable setup as well if properly implemented the first time, and let's not forget I started this madness almost 10 years ago!

I will set it at 1 this time around. I mean try it however...check tire temps and go from there. I really want to start doing my own alignments, but my garage is not perfectly suited for that..

NICE! JIm I am interestd to hear your feedback on the impact of the strut tops, I know a lot of other changes were made at the same time so hard to judge but... whats your gut feel say about the handling of the car, and what did you have teh suspension set at?
