This is it, moving the wheel in another 8mm is the ticket. A bit more work required on the suspension, but no big deal.

The fender gap is now only 1/8" greater than the B4 fenders. I think it looks good taking into account this is as low as the car will ever be.

I like that best Jimmy. Easy repair is the ticket I am sure. It is too bad you are not closer so I could weld those in. I might be able to do it with my suitcase welder.. Perhaps I will play around with it on some fenders and see if I can get a good HF start to keep heat out of hte fender.

I got a line on a B5 S4 being parted so I went up and grabbed the side skirts. It's crazy how well they fit, they are the same length as the B3 rockers! These are quick mock up pics, but they are exactly what I need to make everything flow together.

Looks like you've got it exactly right. How are you going to blend in the b5 rockers? What is the plan for the rear quarters?

I was just going to ask if the B3 rocker is the same length as a CQ.

The rears will get the same flares that are on the front. Practicing on removable panels before I cut into the rear:)

very nice project, out of interest what are these rims here?

And the s4 sideskirts is interesting to know, a few of us tried them on a s2 avant a while ago but found them slightly shorter than what we needed which is wierd they look spot on in your pics?

I think the Avants are different, I know the S4 avant and sedan skirts are different length. The wheels are old, I picked them up from another member who was whoring wheels. The brand is MK-Motorsport. I had to have inserts put in since they originally were 5x108.

I am going to play with lowering the steering arm, anyone ever put it all the way down, almost inside the wheel?
*edit*
I just finished looking through Haydn's 4k thread and his pics show everything I have been thinking about, I am going to rotate and lower the arms some more.

A bit late to the party, but check out Vbares rally 4k. The steering arms were lowered on the strut tube to achieve more travel, then bent to reach where they needed to be. Might be helpful

Thx Jim, so trimmed out of stock URS4 front fenders then. And you are using front flares in the rear too?

:stupid:

Here is a teaser for the rear, the rear wheel needs to go way back. There are giant slabs of billet yummyness coming soon to help relocate the wheels :D

No possible way to start the flare further forward in the door? It would be more work on the door for sure. I can't wait to see the billet arms!!!

There is plenty of room to go back, no way to go forward. The B4 has the wheels further back. It would be better for weight distribution to have them forward, but way more work and not sure if it's even possible.
