Jim, I have run the fic1100s on my 200. Those are the same injectors as these. They idle as smooth as the stock ones and I was able to lean it out so much that it would lean misfire. This was on pump gas.

Alright... I said it would/could happen, and now it has. There has been a price increase on the 1200s :(

The price went from $415 for a set of four to $450 for a set of four due to an increase in the cost of the injector from the supplier. That means the price went from $518.75 to $562.50 retail for sets of five.

Shipping has also gone from being free to $11, but if we can get a group of five here, I will work it so they can be had for $500 shipped for five. Also, I can't accept PayPal as a personal payment... it must be listed as goods. PayPal called me up the other day to make sure that was clear!

I also caught wind that there will be a new modified Bosch EV14 available soon. They will flow ~1275cc. Remember, the injectors listed as 1200s (the ones I detailed the price on above) actually flow 1100cc. The naming is just weird since that is the way ID likes to name their injectors and their naming scheme has sort of become the standard these days... all due to the discrepancy from flowing them on gasoline vs test fluid. Anyway, you can see the flow rates for any of the injectors on the FID website http://fuelinjectordevelopment.com/product.html

Pricing on those will be >$600 for a set of five (retail). Let me know if you are interested in getting a set of those.

They are all rated like ID. So all rated on gasoline.

So I lose out on 625cc of fuel for a couple of bucks?... J/K  ... Basically the 1300cc @4bar injectors I've calculated needing months ago now appear...

I will report that this morning I re-tweaked my cold start and idle and these things are noticeably smoother and consistent than the previous setup. To the point the I can now idle with minimal fluctuation at about 850-900rpm... Still working out the kinks...

Another notable observation is that the retaining clips DO NOT clip to the rail...

I would imagine the rail being bolted down provides a method of sealer. It's similar to how my dodge is setup

Well, the 1200s flow 1200 on gas, the new ones will flow more like 1275 (on gas). Not much of a difference, but it is something bigger. I'd say it is aimed at those who want a denso plug rather than EV1.

By the way, these are 1200 and 1275 at 3 bar, so you should have 1277cc on the 1200s and >>1300 on the 1275s.

Glad to hear they are working nicely for you. I will take a look at that log when I get a chance. Been busy!

They do stay on the rail via the rail being bolted down as Jared said. That is the same way my FIC1100s were held in as well as many, many other setups and it works great.

As others have said, not a problem. BUT, make a mental note when removing the rail in the future to carefully pull the injectors up from the bottom unless you don't mind some fuel getting out... ;)

No problem. Just doing the right thing :)

To clarify, you'll be getting new top hats. FID is confident the new top hats will solve the problem. There are new bottom hats too, but they are on so tight that there is a possibility to damage the injector when attempting to remove them. The top hats will solve all problems however. They clip into the rail just like stock injectors, and also clip to the injector. They incorporate a shoulder under the o-ring as well to eliminate the possibility to slip down out of the cup on the rail.

I'm pretty impressed they got finished in this amount of time including getting anodized. They should get shipped tomorrow so be on the lookout next week.

they totally stopped the 1600cc? I thought I read they were going to rerelease them this year. Any idea if there is any truth to that?

I need six 1000cc. Can I get ev1 square plugs right on the injectors ? or do they come with plugs or harness adapters?

is there a list of people buying or when can I buy?

I'm not sure what's going on with the 1600s. I thought they just did an internal revision and they're good to go now. I don't have anything like that though.

The 1200s have EV1 "square" plugs right on the injectors. The others do not (some have uscar/EV6, some are sumitomo/denso). Any of them will come with adapter pigtails and whatever adapter hats you need.

I'd recommend going with the 1200s to be honest. I really think they are the best injector of the bunch.

Just PM me if you want to buy. I will give you prices there (can't really advertise them publicly).

Guys, EFI Express also lists the FID 1200 on their website for a great price. I couldn't recommend these things more (they're awesome) and just wanted to show another route for purchasing if anyone has any qualms with buying from me via The Project Pad.

Hope everyone is enjoying their FID injectors so far :)
