I didn't cut the firewall. I just used the same hole on the passenger side that the OEM harness used and ran my new wires for the IIc through it.
The little round hole under the firewall brace is what I used to run my IIc harness after pulling the OEM harness out
The last month leading up to the Vegas GTG got pretty hectic as far as my build went and I didn't do a very good job of keeping my project thread updated. I guess I ought to go back and see if I can find pictures to add and fill in some blanks.
:-) Of course not. I don't even think they look at lago blue cars let alone ticket them. :wink: I have to wonder at 58 in a 40 after just cresting the summit, if I still would have got a ticket had the car been white or Lago Blue.

On our 91 I am good at 28 psi, but I also taper a bit (one of these days I'll figure that out..). I think you are using AAN pistons or 3B so your CR is a little higher, but you do have 93. I bet that you will be feeling pretty good around 26-27 with a good intercooler. Your turbo made 420 whp on my car

We had the guy hook a battery up to them. The driver worked great, the passenger would go back but not forward. They are now occupying space in my garage.

Those are some good lookers, but at $5k the headrests would probably be $1k of it. :wink: I don't think I really like the mesh in the set just bought, but I will have to see when I get them down here. Redone in leather would sure be nice.
Nice score John. I've got a set of classic C's installed into my urq. I got mine working so the backrest moves forward and back on both seats. I can hear the lumbar pumps running but no inflation. The heater pads are also showing open resistance. I was lazy and didn't bother taking them apart to fix, but into the car they went. So I will be watching on how to take them apart and fix the lumbar and heaters.
I've got some pictures of the recaros in the urq, but for whatever reason, I'm not allowed to have a gallery, so no pics. You'll have to check them out in person at the PPIHC.
As for seat brackets, I have cut and welded a set of original recaro brackets that were for some other application. I used these for years on my recaro KRX's, but now they are under the classic C's. The C's sit a bit higher, so the brackets will need to be lowered another inch or so. I do have a set of coupe sport seat bases (adjustable height for both driver and passenger) that have been stripped down and will eventually be welded up for a set of recaros, but I haven't gone there yet.

Should I reupholsterand install them too? While im at it should I drive it to work everyday too?
Easy on the old man now, but as long as you are asking.......I'd like them in chocolate leather. If you join up with Hank and make the move to Vegas, I'm sure the drive to work every day could be arranged. I know that I'm not too high tech and do poor work, but I'm slow!!
