Why on earth would they lay cones in a way to keep you form using the 'line'? I would have taken one lap of that sh*t and called it a night.

What's the point of a practice night if you can't run the track how you would at an actual event?

Glad you had fun Darin, but daggummit that layout sucks

Wow, that is stupid they don't let you use the whole track. Car sounds great though

Sounds like you had a great time! Sorry I didn't make it, family showed up over the weekend and, well the rest is history. Sorry to hear about the AC, I'm trying to get mine wired up for BBQ.

Car sounds great Darin. And great footage.

I can't justify going to WOW with the way they set it up. Last month, I got two half laps (less than 4 minutes of track time) in over 3+ hours...Not even back to back, so forget about getting into a rhythm with the lines. And the cones pretty much ruin being on a track as the speeds are pretty much kept below speed limits and you are forced to take ridiculous lines through the corners. I'll stick to the canyon roads 5 minutes from my house, unless it's a real track day.

There are a few things I like about WOW. One, it's relatively cheap track time. Yes, only 4 laps in 3 hours, but it's only $25. The turnout last night wasn't like the 100+ cars as last time, but still a lot of cars. I really believe if they continue getting close to 100 cars they will have two sessions going on the east and west. Two, it's fun to hang out, meet other people and talk cars. And lastly, it's a safe, fast environment where you can learn more about your car and what it's capable of. I wish they'd set it up a little better, but still fun.

Need more powah so you can still hit triple digits between cones!

Touche!

I knew it was coming and thought of your car when I posted about the speed limitations. That said, I'm working on more power and less 'piggishness', yes?

My first attempt at painting something. Picked up a B3 spoiler and sanded and primed this morning. I'm going to let it dry overnight and then sand and paint.

Any ideas on how to get the 80 spoiler off easily?

It took serious prying, but it eventually came off. I now will get to try my hand at body work. I'm hoping simple body filler will plug those holes up and I can sand and paint the trunk lid now. Wow. this is getting to be a little bit bigger project than first thought. :D I'm excited though and think it will look great.

That's funny. I'm hoping you'll come help me put on B4 rear fenders!! Need to fit the Dunlop 245/40s on this car!! :D I love those tires and245s are really 255s in most other tires. The 235s I have on right now are great, but they rub on the back. I think the B4 fenders will be perfect.

Actually I need Hank to work on welding body panels as I think that is the only way to work on the rears. They don't come off like the front fenders unfortunately.

want to measure from the top surface of your trunk to the center of one of those spoiler mounting holes? I have one of those for the V8q (yes, still have it, may still fix it) and didn't want to just drill a hole...

Jim has sent me pictures of his with a tape measure showing where to drill.

Maybe just leave the holes? I bet some chrome skulls with green LED eyes would look totally boss back there.

BTW - I have a spoiler project I need to get workin' on here soon too.

Speaking of spoilers.....Chris are you reading this?.....I will be making a trip up to Salt Lake this Sunday and part of the cargo is a sport spoiler for someone up there. I even made sure it would fit behind the back seat in the wife's A4. Should be up there about noontime Monday. Give Hank or I a call.

Darin, I have the old style spoiler to go on the V8q, not the post style. The old style looks better on the T44's than the 2/4-poster.
