Looks great, I really like this car and I think you have done some tasteful stuff to it. I like the spoiler a lot.

Darin, the car is looking great. The new spoiler is a good look. I might be a bit late, but does anyone have dibs on this car when you are ready to sell out in a couple of months? If not, could you put me on the list? :D

Sitting at Brent's shop waiting for it to get inspected and emission done. Need to get rid of these Colorado plates. :)

I attended what I believe will be the last Wide Open Wednesday of the year out at Miller tonight. The gates actually opened at 4 p.m. which I wasn't aware of, but I did get there at 4:45. Managed to get 5 laps in by 7:30 when the sun went down and they called it a night. Usually it runs to 8:30, but given how early dusk came and insurance reasons, they shut it down. They opened both the East and the West setups and there was a record turnout. Lots of cars, which is good and bad, but disappointing that I couldn't get more laps in. I stayed on the East track the entire night.

Well, with 12 laps under my belt now, I'm a pro. Actually, I am feeling much more comfortable out there and getting to know the car better and better each time out. I failed to bring my flip video camera unfortunately.

Miller's cameraman was out taking pictures, which I bet will be posted on their website. He took a picture of my RS2 badge on the front grille. :D I'll update more, but the wife wants my attention now that I'm home.

So my a/c was out. Pulled the front bumper and found that one of the bolt holding the compressor on was sheered. Replaced it and it blows cold again. There ended up being no tension on the compressor wheel and it wasn't turning. Ahhhh...so nice to have a 340whp car with a/c. :)

Re: Darin's 80tq... BBQ ....

Post by Audilard »

I too, was at BBQ this year. Car was great except the A/C needed a recharge when I got to Vegas. When filling it up before heading home I found a pinhole leak in the condensor, but it was at least fairly pleasant on most of the drive home. The 'to do' list over the next 12 months is filled and hopefully the funds will cover all the fun mods ahead. The list will come shortly, once I finalize it. Picture courtesy of nsimps.
