I think it will leave the car very Daily drive-able and still put down some good numbers. :)

I wish I was, but for me it was either that or Battleborn and it is battle born for this year. :-) I will be there next year though!

How many miles on it, and what are they askin for it?
If you ask nicely Derek might give you the recipe for a 6 speed swap on the A6.

Has just a tick over 150k, it's pretty much loaded and was well taken care of. I believe it has everything (including rear heated seats) except the navi system which is fine with me. The dash is in good working order which makes me very happy! I am thinking a small drop, fix the fogged over headlights, save the wide 5s for the 4kq's winter wheels and throw some 19x8.5 BE GTS-AV wheels on it, exhaust and call it a day till the tip-tronic goes, then it will be 6spd time. Of course the first order of business will be the T-Belt. :)

Nice going Ben, this better not ruin your motivation to ge the 4k done! I highly recommend a set of front gallardo wheels. and a bit of lowering. First mod...cut off the mufflers and run straight pipe to the bumpers with some nice tips, you'll love the noise it makes and it wont be too loud.

Thanks guys!!! :) Rest assured, this will not kill my 4kq motivations! The A6 is an awesome ride, but it's no 4kq. :P

Hmmmm, I did love the way Derek's looked with his set up, but my game plan is Miro 111 19x8.5 wheels for the summer in combo with a small drop and some nice sounding Magnaflow mufflers and tips. I don't want ANY drone at all. It's so nice driving a car that's quiet for a change.

40v4kq wrote:I like that first pic too...Looks very professional. Once the motor is in it will settle the nose down, so don't worry about it. the rear should settle a little too, but it's anybodies guess as to how much. And as always pictures are welcomed, the more the merrier. Be careful with the used tires, when I was going to pick and pull with Derek about a two weeks ago we came around a corner and there was a 510 in the ditch. It belonged to the brother of a motorgeeker that Derek knows(he was the tow truck driver at the scene). The poor guy had just finished restoring it over like five years and only had 300 miles on it, and it was totally messed up. His tires did not look good at all, like "don't even drive on them" not good. Dont get me wrong, your tires may be fine. Just hearing about used tires made me think of that so I thought i'd share. Keep up the awesome work Ben, and let the photos roll.

That was my brother's car and the tow truck driver was me...

That was a VERY sad day!
