What'd you end up with for a fuel pump? I'm trying to find deets on when the stock fuel pump bites the dust. I think with a 30R I'll probably need an 044 anyway. I'll have to get it running first :)

I went with the 044 on my car. Was found on ebay for 200$ a few years ago. All that was needed to make it work was a change of the ends of the wires and a barbed AN fitting from 034 for one of the fuel lines(the other line already fit).

Right now I am just rolling with the stock fuel pump. I just finished up the fuel system, so it's ECM work, from here on out. :)

Right now though. It's time to crash out.

Nice work, staffing up late haha.

Dan, good to know. I was just looking last night and they can still be had for $200, which is what I'll do. I'm gonna leave the stock pump until I can make another purchase for this car and not get murdered though :D

FRICK. My FPR leaks, so I won't be starting until mid-week. This is one of the major draw backs to living in the boonies. I am going to go hunt for one in the junkyard Monday, but I won't hold my breath. I need a factory, 4.0 bar regulator.

Why do you need factory 4 bar? Not easy to make another FPR work?

I'm not using an adjustable one, I have this:

http://www.rossmachineracing.com/fuelpresregadapt.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

There is a Ford ranger 3.0 engine out here that is going to the junker with the same kind of 'drop-in' style, I just cant find what pressure it runs at.

Edit: I did go on ahead and put the ranger one in, it's not correct, but at least it doesn't leak. I still have to wait for start up though.

DOUBLE EDIT: A proper FPR will be here Tuesday. :) SO looks like Tuesday night is it!

As long as the connections are right and it doesn't leak, why does it matter what pressure you are running? You are on VEMS, so tune it however you need.

Your right Chris, but unfortunately the ford one doesn't make pressure at all. It's missing the bottom nipple, so it's just letting fuel bypass it. At the moment it's good for keeping fuel from leaking out, so as soon as the one comes in Tuesday, hopefully I will have the ecm all ready to rock. I worked on wiring it up most of yesterday. Today, I need to square away the comm line and WB. THEN hopefully, if I have set everything up correctly, I will be ready to start playing.

Ok, so quick update, The ECM is connected and working and the laptop is communicating like a champ, TPS and WBO2 calibrations are done.

I am only having one issue, I am not getting an injector pulse. I have power to the injector, but for some reason the ecm isn't grounding them out. Could this be because the trigger pin on the FW (Fidanza) isn't big enough for the stock sensors to pick up? It's a dinky ass pin in comparison to the stock one. Help.

Re: Ben's Oceanic H1C/K26 AAN 4kq - INJ Pulse help

Post by 85oceanic »

Ok, I just did a signature test on the crank sensors, I have a great signal from the FW degree sensor (reads the FW teeth) but I'm not getting jack from the one that uses the pin. SOO looks like I am going to be pulling out the starter and 'upgrading' the pin.
