I'm at the same point, I got some Yokohama Avid all seasons right now but am looking to switch to a designated winter tire. I've ran the yokohamas the past couple years their performance has been underwhelming, short stops in slushy conditions @15mph would consistently cause the ABS to kick in. :frustrated: BTW awesome job on the 4K, videos sound great. Bet it sounds even better in person, would be cool to have a G2G of the local audi nuts in the near future now that mines finally running as well.
Ran into an S60R on my way homr tonight. Im pretty surprised that the car kept up the way it did. He definitly had more top end, but from a 4th gear pull it was pretty even. And this was at like 13psi. Now to put the REAL cam in, crank boost up to 17, drop in a volvo k24, and EFI

Stereo is on the way finally. Huge thanks to secretagentman for all the parts I needed to rebuild the entire center section of the interior. Now that Ive compared a good center to mine, its obvious at one point in this cars life a stereo was ripped out. The interior will finally look decent.

Got the interior all cleaned up last night with the new parts. Only thing I need now is a proper window switch that lights up. The ecm fits nicely where the original one goes on the glove box. No pinched wires or anything. Stereo will be here Friday so I know what Im working on this weekend

Bulb doesnt light up? I tossed in LED's in my old 4ktq for the window and dash switches. Just an alternative as the LED's are cheap and it only takes a few mins of soldering time.
I like that setup. Ok installed the plugs last night. Noticed 2 things. One, the cut is now about 17-18psi rather than 16. Two, it almost seemed like less power overall but I think that just might be me?

Two things. First, please remove "VIDEOS!!!" from your heading. Everytime I see that you have made a post i see that it says videos and think that you posted some new videos and then i'm let down. LOL. Second, I doubt what you are experienceing is a "cut". If sparkplugs moved the boost point where the "cut" happens it cant be a "cut". It sounds more like multiple misfires, like the boost creates too much resistance in the cylinder for the spark to jump the gap and so the spark goes elsewhere. Look inside your cap and see if you see carbon tracks that look like lighning. BTW, what gap are you running? You could have your gap set too big. Maybe try gapping the plugs .005 smaller and see what that does.

I gotta retract my previous statement. Its still happening at exactly 16psi. The NGKs are .032 and the bosch are .028 and single electrodes. Im putting the NGKs back in as it does feel like a small loss of torque. Im gonna hardwire the fuel pump and see what happens

And, I know Im beating a dead horse here but you may never be able to overcome a fuel/timing cut with the stock ECU's. unless you learn to program your own chips that is.

Even with a Ben Swann 2+ BAR chip? I do agree about needing a hotter coil though. Im gonna save up for an MSD box

What Wastegate spring are you running ? I have used the same chip before and I currently have one in my 5k. When I had it in my first 5000 with the 2.2bar spring I would get fuel cut off in 4th and 5th if i went WOT. Had to stay about 90% throttle to keep it happy. Then I used it with the 1.9bar spring and it worked fine no matter what. Thats also the same setup i'm running in my avant right now. I also had a issue with one of my cars where a bad sensor was causing a loss of power .. can't remember which one it was on the bell housing..
