Sorry to disappoint you John! I almost have the car exactly where I want it and want to enjoy it as much as I can. Like I said, clear bra, tint and then little upgrades here and there. The water injection will help with the 25-26 psi tune. There is a clunking in the rear when on and off throttle that needs fixing, the power steering needs some attention and that's it.
Yeah, I'm just following Miyagi Jim's advise on the copper line under the car. His car runs good.
Oh, I think you misunderstand my disappointment......It's not me being disappointed in your car and it's progress, but the fact that I'm feeling like a slacker has me disappointed in my own projects. Keep up the good work and posts!!
I just completed the water injection installation. It is completely wired with a full reservoir of a homebrew 50/50 mix. I'm anxious to see how it works.

Yeah, I'm down to deciding if I'm buying 245 tires or using up these 235 for a bit longer. I need to fix a torn Cv boot and fix a couple other things, but it's basically ready. I still haven't done the alignment either. I'm tired of winter!!

perhaps i missed it in here, but what are you using for the water system? diy or kit?
Just went to get ice cream at the grocery store on a beautiful evening. I took the long way. It was the first drive with meth injection hooked up and either I haven't driven the car in a while or meth injection really does make a difference because the car is ripping!!! My 13 year old daughter went with me. She was nervous and little spooked by how fast the car was. Only 23 psi....time for 30!!
A quick update from the other thread that has since been removed. Turns out my water injection wasn't working after all. I've since tested it in VEMS after unhooking the injector and testing the output. The test function turned the pump on and a healthy amount of mixture ended up all over my garage floor. So it's hooked up right. I'll need to run some logs and see what's up.
Darin, I wired up a High pressure switch to an LED that kicks on around 100psi between the nozzle and the solenoid. I have had a few issues where I have been really glad I had it hooked up. A few blown feed lines and an overheated pump. It's cheap insurance if you don't have a fancy flow meter. I know it doesn't help with a clogged nozzle, but I have a good filter right before the solenoid so I am not worried about clogged nozzles.
Jim, mine is the basic kit with no solenoid, just the check valve. I'll probably look at putting a high pressure switch between the check valve and the nozzle. Or Marc may hook me up with a flow meter.
Something we did during our tuning runs to test if my w/m was working was have it retard ignition timing 5 degrees. You could definitely tell it was working. I have mine setup on n20 control and it has that option in there so that helped me out. let me grab a quick picture. Sometime real soon I'll be wiring up an LED so I can more easily tell that it's working.

it should be noted that you dont want to pull timing with the water injection. if anything, the opposite... the methanol wants more timing than regular pump gas for MBT. it just gets hotter if you pull timing on it.
Correct. We did it just for test purposes for literally all of 4 seconds. Real easy to tell it's working. Or at least VEMS is telling it to work. Sorry for any confusion!

Looks like all your settings are correct Darin - try setting the parameters to something you can replicate in neutral (turn on @ 2k rpms or something), remove the nozzle and see if you can get it to spray.
