Yes, my 1990 90Q 20V has cast arms too... the later cars did.

So that would make my car a late model coupe? I haven't bothered checking my vin. Thinking to buy a spare set of control arms and then get new bushings and jus swap them out.

Only the very early coupes had stamped arms.

So that's the one with no airbag right?

I don't know where the breakoff point for that particular thing is... there were a number of things changed on the 1990 cars (ISV/ECU/Control arms/swaybars/airbag) and they all sort of filtered in at different times. As an example my March '90 build 90Q 20V has an airbag, cast arms, and a rear sway bar, but it has the early Hitachi ISV and a two plug (early) ECU.

That's what I did with the rear arms, bought a set of 4KQ arms and cleaned/painted/put 034 bushings in at my leisure. Then I put a 4KQ front sway bar in the rear when I put the rest of the suspension on. I did the same thing with my Miata when I built it, and it gives me a spare set of arms in case "stuff" happens at the track.

Don't forget the fact that your car is 24 years old... a lot of things could have transpired between then and now, like replacement control arms, etc.
2005 A4 Ultrasport - K04'd, AEB head, GIAC tuned, still pokey
2001 TT 225 quattro Roadster - Stage 2+, looking for B&M shifter
2001 S4 - Tial 770R'd 3.1 stroker coming
1988 80 quattro - 4.2 powered FrankenAudi made from 13 cars and counting...

this is true, but from what i know i think the passenger side one was replaced, so i guess i only need to do the drivers side, but id rather do things in pairs, you know?

not entirely true. there have been 7-8 coupes that i have either personally owned or have been in my immediate family. there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the control arms these cars had EXCEPT i have never seen a 1990 with cast arms (that had not been converted). i have had several 1991's with stamped which i believe to have been on there from the factory.

1991 US spec cars got airbags. 1990 spec euro cars had them too (at least the 2 i have seen did). i believe but am not 100% sure that all airbag cars got CF driveshafts too.

My first CQ was a '90, with forged arms, carbon shaft, and an airbag.
If I remember correctly, the VIN ended with 006787.

If I remember right that delrin piece needs to be frozen/ milled down a hair before you press it.

I saw it break the diff mount pressed in the way it comes outta the box

i need a solid answer, yes or no. there is a guy who is selling his from his Urq, and its an 034 mount. I want it if its going to work.

like no modding or anything.

im not trying to mess with extra crap.

Frozen? wait, the Diff mount is a bushing?
