and bust again.... leaking water pump and alternator crapped out. got ze parts already on the way, and the new seal.

but, when i got home, i have goodies.... i like getting partZ.

stuff for the cooling system. radiator, oil cooler, coolant fittings, foam for cell, all oil cooling line parts, etc.

radiator is AFCO, scirocco drag style radiator. all aluminum. thinking about cutting off one end tank and making it larger for capacity. have the room. probably wont though. 2 rows dual pass all aluminum. really nice. of course, i will mount it "upside-down" from their fabricated method, to get the ports on the driver side.

a Setrab 619 oil cooler.... 5.75 x 2 x 11.25 (13 overall) dual pass 19 row oil cooler.

and all the fittings for remote oil filter setup, oil cooler and lines.

also all the fittings for the coolant setup, for the reservoir, catch tank, the works.

mounted Setrab oil cooler.

mounted remote oil filter block.

fuel pumps (dual 044's) and fuel cell feed and Trick Flow filter.

yes there will be coating and wrap on the exhaust manifold. and there will be a shield to protect the filter/cooler fro the exhaust heat. and the WG dump tubes are going to be different.... just there for now.

hi,
What are you going to do about the oil filter housing son? Run a VR6 thermostatic plate?

if my oil filter housing were HERE you would see that on the car as well. i sent it off MONTHS AGO....

BUT, there will be no oil filter off the block and you cant use a plate style without the filter there.

just using this to replace the filter. no thermo, all oil goes to filter, then cooler, then return.

Why??? Extra plumbing, weight etc, oil cooler looks over kill for 9 -10 sec of engine running hard

I personally would have just run a thermostatic plate from the oil filter housing to the oil cooler but knowing Aaron he moved the oil filter to add more weight in front of the tires,at least that is my hunch.

well, with my motor mounts, the filter probably wont fit in the stock location. it has nothing to do with weight moving. and when doing oil filter change, the oil would run all over the mount and make a mess.

i "think" i got one like this. you just have to make sure you use the correct sized one for the threads (3/4 x 16) and oil filter size. pretty sure it was this one though.

I wish I would have checked the car out when I drove up from Eugene to Portland... Everything looks lovely though :-D

What size is your return line off your rail? Make sure its big enough now that you are moving more fuel through the system cuz you are running corn.

i do work on the car.... just not all the time and not much gets done to see really.

been workin on mounting the AWIC res.

picked up some pipe for the coolant res and catch can.

mounted radiator tonight. will finish it later, my boy wants to watch race cars or something, so its time to play i guess LOL

i chose this radiator as it is dual pass and dual core. i had a height i needed to stay within. this fit the bill perfectly. AFCO. i mounted it upside down to get the ports on the driver side. just gives me an air bleed port instead of a drain port haha. i will still give it another set of supports from the bottom later. but its there and good to go for now.

i will shroud it to the front end later as well.

and i have plenty of electric fans to use for it.... 8", 10", 12", 14" might be too big.

i think the 12" will do it just fine.

If you have plenty space bigger is better, I have learned that 2ce, at hard pulls temps was creeping up till I installed biggest fan available, 3 lap hot competition no over heating problems and fastest ET

HAHAHAHAHA. (sorry, inside joke :) )

it should be coming soon. if i can find some way to get it shipped from Quebec to Oregon without it costing a fortune.

but the head, its done. the cams are being dialed in now. then when the head and motor are together, it gets done and that is that.
