ahh you guys are crazy, so many people on here thread in every head stud then slide the head on!

I swear people do it cuz it looks cool lol.
It makes it harder, even if theyre undercut. Especially with one person. Not trying to razz on you but they do have allen heads built in for a reason. :woowoo:

Oh, and did you get your ebay EM milled flat because mine was like a banana. It was at least 1/8 proud when I made mine done. If you look at it hard enough installed on the car you can tell.

Cool, just letting you know. If you "just torque it down" I'll bet it'll pull studs. I think I have a pic somewhere of the straightedge on it.

Working on the car daily, now that I've realized there are things I can do without buying more parts. I finished pulling the tranny after taking the prop shaft off for a new carrier bearing and getting fed up with the years of pentosin leaks and road grime covering the tranny and subframe. Now begins the cleaning... should be lots of fun

Also went to replace one brake line - my driver's front. The shortest and easiest to replace. Yea right! Rounded that fitting right off at the ABS controller :curses: Now I have to pull the whole controller to try and easy out or something.

Looking great man! I was way to lazy to get in that master cylinder area, lol. I just sprayed it quick and said "that'll do for now" being that I know the engine will be out again ;).

The brake lines on all these old Audi's look like ass! Mine are corroded just like yours...fail Audi.

Re: Casey's 200 20v: Time to get moving - Thanks Tim/Toph!

Post by WOMBAT »

Big thanks to Tim and Toph who gave me a good power steering rack yesterday on my way home from NH! I've been on hold while I found a replacement (not wanting to fork out the $280 for a new one because I don't have the money) and they more than took care of me. I hope to make some good progress in the coming weeks getting the motor and tranny/driveline back in the car so that i can start planning fun things like intake plumbing/IC and turbo oil feed/return, catch can, etc.

BTW, anyone have a catch can for sale?
