OK so reading over on S2forums, I am really finding out that this turbo is excellent for mid-range power but blows goats on the top end. Seems like to make this thing a screamer on the top end I am going to have to go with a #8 hot-side. They say my #6 hot-side machined to fit the holset wheel puts me around the same as a 0.63 A/R T3 housing. SO that could be another reason why it is choking/freaking out so bad.

Yeah that's really damn fast. Might be surge? You'd think Ben would notice something like this...

That's true... if you cant hear it in the compressor, it is likely not surge. That turbo is pretty vocal, so I'd expect to hear it for sure.

I do have logs of just vacuum to the base of the WG with the stock WG spring. You can see the same phenomenon in these logs too. :boom:

Ya, I don't hear anything like that at all. In-fact, unless I was looking at a log, I would have no idea that it was doing it.

Did you see my comment on the canister solenoid? Is it present? I'm not sure if it's even hooked up to VEMS but if there was a solenoid pulsing like crazy it could be causing an on/off quick vacuum leak. Maybe just unplug it for the hell of it and see what it does.

I don't have any of that stuff anymore, the only solenoid that has any vacuum going it is the BC.

Really the only thing I can think that it is at this point maybe the diaphragm is messed up on the WG. It looked fine when I had it out last year, but frick. Who knows. I will do a vacuum test on it tomorrow, just to be sure. :)

I just looked at the logs for the first time.

You have a problem with your crank trigger that may be the cause of this.... trigger errors all throughout the oscillation events. You're gonna want to get that figured out first.

I had considered that avenue, but I figured if I was getting bad trigger errors with that kind of boost going a miss would happen. Do you think it could just be ground noise? OH and I am running the stock AAN triggers.

EDIT: Thanks for the help guys, I really appreciate it!

I can't help you with your trigger errors directly but I solved mine by getting the VR sensor closer to what it's looking at (in my case the TDC pin and made sure my distributor is lined up properly to TDC). Is your car an early AAN where the cam sensor is basically a distributor without the cap and rotor? If it is, maybe you can be sure that's adjusted properly. If not, my post is useless, lol.

Nah, mine is right behind the cam gear. The plug on it is actually kinda fubar'd up due to age, so I am going to order one once I get my 7a cams here. :)

Talking to Marc, he says that my trigger errors will more than likely be resolved with a firmware update, so Saturday or Sunday I will go through and update stuff. While I am at it, I also am going to triple check all of my grounds just to make sure everything is copacetic.

PREVIEW TO VIDSIN MEXICO
I definitely can vouch for Ben's 4k.

First took me for a drive last night (with new boost/tune settings) and threw me back in my seat, LITERALLY. Actually felt the blood rush to the back of my head when he hit 2nd and at high boost. (I wasnt expecting that) To date i have never had a more throw you in your seat experience experience. (makes me wonder what Hanks 700+ lbs tq woulda been like)

So Ben's 4k definitely humbled my thoughts on the Supra to the point i almost didnt wanna run but He convinced me. So those are the videos he's gonna upload.

JUST HELPING SAVE SOME TIME AND EXPLAINING BEN i'll delete the post if you wanna explain. haha

1st Run (In Mexico i'm sure it was ;) )
From a Dig, i got a real good launch Ben was NOT using LC. And as you will notice, loses his shift knob.

2nd Run
From a Dig, both got a decent launch, i TOTALLY missed 3rd.

3rd Run
From a Dig, Ben LC, I spun tires through first and missed 2nd and stopped. (my trans needs rebuilt, already have the kit just havent done it yet)

Overall they were some really FUN runs. If EVERYTHING went smoothly from launch to 4-5th we feel these cars are pretty even. We also got Oceanic and Steph (my car, color i named Stephanite Pearl Metallic, hence Steph) to OVER 140 :D i do have to say it was quite exhilarating. Bens speedo Pinned, mine said about 143. I've got my GoPro and the suction cup just came in so we're gonna get some video with that.
