Loxxrider's 200 20v Revver: See you on "The Project Pad"

Since it sounds like you want to go all out with this car, I wouldn't waste money in the interim in a chip/spring/distributor. Save the $600 and put it towards the stand-alone and coil per plug setup you'll need. My car is identical to yours and is running a 3076 at 28 psi. It's fun. Full boost at 4k rpm. If I had it to do all over again, I'd run a 35R. I'd never consider a 40R or 42R on something that's street driven (and 2.3 litres).

Thanks again for the suggestions. Still up in the air on turbos, but we shall see where that goes.
The only other thing I have had in mind is a set of BBS LM's (reps) for this car someday. I think they would suit the car really well.
oops didnt see the second page stuff.
Yeah I definitely want to go all out with it. Usually when I build something, I build it right the first time and don't cut any corners. I am thinking about drivetrain mods that will have to be done also. I want to be able to beat on this thing without it having to stress at all. Like I think I mentioned before though, I fear the only answer to that may be a built S4 tranny... : /

Meh : / I will probably keep it on some skinny tires for a bit, and then get into the tranny a little later.
When the time comes though, is stasis the place to go for that tranny work? I think Jeff R. told me that one time...

Good plan.
yes Stasis, or talk to Scott Dewitt (USN: Scottmandu) first on here. Same stuff but much better pricing.

what you need is here http://www.advancedautomotion.com/produ ... ucts_id=28
holy moly haha that thing came out to like 6k when I didn't touch any of the options they have listed. Apparently you can take all of them off and the starting price is 1900.
I have no idea what the specifics of what I would need are, but I think that is something to be saved for later perusal. Of course, if someone knows a good combo from that link, it would definitely be nice to have the info here in this thread

I forgot to comment on the A6 5 spoke wheels you photoshopped earlier. I had them on my 200 for a while, but forgot to take pictures. I think they look nice. With the stock A6 4.2 255/40R17s, that's as big as you can go on the car. They rubbed a little bit under compression in the rear towards the outside of the inner fender.
They are actually Audi TT wheels, but the A6 wheels are basically the same. I bet it looks really nice with those 255's on there. I'll probably be selling them with my jetta though : /

Hmmm the more I look around, the more I get the feeling that an Hx35 is the equivalent of a 30r and a hx40 is the equivalent of a 35r..or something like that...would anyone care to chime in again?
I'm definitely not looking for 30r power. Its 35 or bust for me.
Its funny because my friend just bought an hx40 for his turbo civic...lol should be a nice upgrade compared to his current turbo which is about the size of the stock 3B unit (k24?)
Still open to options like turbonetics or precision

OK, so...
I think my options are back to garrett lol...
Turbonetics is junk apparently, can't find any info on precision turbos thru their site...
My friend just got an hx40w which is pretty large, but also old and huge/heavy...he got it for $200 tho...so we will see how that works out. If it works nicely, I may decide to just "try" one out for a little to see how I'd like it. Probably not though.
So my most-likely option is a 35r I suppose. Probably v-band everything and hmmm lets decide exh size.
I could go divided t3 .78 a/r w/v-band, v-band t3 .82 a/r, or 1.06 a/r...not sure what I want. Input would be nice.
Oh, also emptied the catch can today...its nice and milk chocolate-colored inside lol...I guess that is a mix of oil and water vapor. The good news is that there wasn't too much in there even after about a month and a half.

Reps? If so, what company?
I will probably go with raederwerks (sp?) because they are pretty cool guys.
I saw a black early body A8 with rs4 wheels, and it made me think that those might look nice too. I'll do a PS soon to see how they might look

So I have been talking to Ed from ForceFed engineering (just broke the 700whp mark for the 1.8t), and he recommended a t67 dbb aka T04Z

I'm pretty excited to learn a little more about it and see what it can do.

t04z is a good choice...that would be perfect on a 3b....
i say turbonetics is junk because ive had nothing but bad luck with them, went though one they fixed it and the seals went like 2 months later, and i was only boosting off the wastegate :curses:
then a buddy of mine bought a turbonetics single kit for his infiniti g35, same exact thing happend, so he just junked it and put a a gt3582 on it and its been flawless ever since...

Does anyone know if there are any other 3b's out there with T04Z's?
Garrett is definitely the only way to be sure you have a reliable turbo that can take a beating. Too bad they are so $$$ ahhhhhh!!
