can you just mod the water manifold? it is less picky than the other stuff. would a forward facing throttle body design intake manifold work better than that backwards pointing one? i know you just got it, and the work is nice, but you are not married to it. You could send it back to Hank to have it reconfigured.

I already have a V8 I could put in lol... I need some variety though ;) (the BMW is a V8)

The water manifold has already been re-modified... didn't help enough :/ A forward-facing one isn't much better in terms of space unfortunately.

OK, I think I'm going to vac boost it. I am talking to a friend about doing all the TIG work on the IC piping and exhaust. I might have this thing running before I leave for Saudi! The way things are going right now, I may not leave until Mid-August or after (was mid-July before).

Also, because I will be out of the country for God knows how long, the car will be taken care of by a shop. Dry sump, high-rev build, here we come!

I like to give my business to Mr. Swanson if I can, so EFIexpress will likely be it... if they should choose to accept the challenge :) I'm sure Marc and I will iron out some of the details at Carlisle.

I missed out on the vac booster setup I had my eyes on. Who has one from an 80, 90, or 100?

If you need details on the vac-assist swap you're in luck. Last week I acquired the vac equipped 200qA Cary mentioned. Drop me a line if you have any questions.

OK I think I have the first part of this puzzle figured out. I went to the yard today because they had an 80q. I robbed it of its MC and booster. I just want to verify that I have something that can work. At first I thought I had the wrong thing because it bolted in the 80 with 3 bolts and the 200 uses four, but then I realized it had this adapter/spacer thing on it and I think it will just bolt right on the 200 if I take that off. The pictures explain it a bit better.

I would also like to know where all the lines go. In my haste to get the thing out (junk yard was closing) I accidentally cut one of the brake lines that goes between the MC and this valve thingy. That is easily fixed, but I was hoping someone could tell me what connects to what and how I might go about adapting my stock lines to work. Assuming they are long enough, I should be able to get a brake line bender and just bend them to fit no?

I'll keep this thread updated so others can follow suit. It should be really easy as long as the lines don't give me much trouble.

What about the hydraulic pump? What's the plan for the power steering?

That is on the back burner until I get the vac assist hooked up. However, I believe I can just use a smaller pump from a small chassis car and it shouldn't interfere with my manifold.

you could but dont want to, your brakes need more fluid than small chassis stuff

the t44 brake masters are bolt in upgrades for small chassis guys, so run the vac bosoter and big mc
