Intro section? Oh well here it is for me!

Hey everyone, I am a longtime lurker from MG and vortex and also Kumas nextdoor across the street neighbor. I doubt any you would know me, my user on MG is sappermike and on vortex is awdb5dub.

23 Y/o Army vet, and going to school for Human Resources. Past cars were a 1987 Accord Lxi Hatchback, 1993 Acura Legend (the tank), 1998 Passat 1.8t, 2000 Audi A6 2.7t 6mt, a 2006 350z Enthusiast Ed(current DD), a 2010 Wolfsburg Jetta Dsg(Wifes DD), and under the knife is a Mk3 Jetta 8v turbo. project.

There is a lot I still have to learn about the motorsports world and this Mk3 Jetta is my first bigggg project. I first got introduced to the VAG community by a long time friend in Ohio who had a maroon 1990 90q 20v that was amazing, he actually bought it from the owner of Dubwerx is Cincinnati. After that its history, I started hanging with the "dub" crowd and then got me a job at a BMW shop in downtown Cincinnati called Just Blau Mit Weiss. Work slowed down and they let me go since I was the low guy on the totem pole and then I went across the street and enlisted in the Army which brought me here to Texas. Luck would have it I did a 12 month deployment in Afghanistan soon after I got here but through the internet I stayed connected to the VAG scene and met Kuma and started hanging out with the dub guys here when I got back from Afghanistan.

Now im out, going to school and wrapping up this Jetta project so I can cut my bills by getting rid of my 350z. I hope to get to know some of you guys and your projects and possibly make it to a few of the gatherings!

Welcome to the Pad!! Sounds like you have had a variety of nice cars. Lets hear more about the Jetta project....We are trying not to be audi snobs here and figure any good project qualifys for the Project Pad, but we need details and pictures. You may even get a bit of the FWD razzing....ask Kuma, but brush it off. I'm doing a FWD at the moment also.

Yea I plan on posting up more but just made a 17 hour drive from Texas to Ohio for a short vacation. When I get back I am starting a project thread and posting pics and whatnot.

Lol stfu I made twice as much money as I put in. Two mk3s for $500 each plus $400 in parts and I ended up selling it all for around $3k.
