yupperz! i probably won't get to figure out the WG routing until the engine gets mounted back in with the turbo and DP.

so the V8 heads do have the same oil return ports as the AWP and such.I guess there is an economical solution for a multi-layer head gasket.

Looks good on the header mockup. Are you going to tie the second runner from the right into the right most runner?

Looks awesome D! Long runners for better high end breathing... will you be adding power bumps to your hood or will it all fit?

... and brilliant to do mock up with motor mounts in place..
derracuda

Post by derracuda »

yes justin, the runners #1 &#3 are tying together, and #2 &#4 are being tied together due to exhuast pulses even though they aren't ideal lengths or merges. everytime i have to think about a somewhat poor merge in the piping i think "20v cast turbo manifold" and my fears are quelled :P if this thing works at minumum as good as the stock 20v manifold, i'll be golden :D

That is a good plan as far as pulse tuning. You'll be setup good if you ever upgrade to a larger divided housing turbo too. Is your GT35R a T4 flange?
derracuda

Post by derracuda »

it is a divided housing man ;)

Good to hear. Holset, Garrett?
derracuda

Post by derracuda »

Garrett GT35R 1.06 turbine A/R and the compressor side is .76 i think. should be "streetable" :D
olsonjus

Post by olsonjus »

MMM, I didn't know the gt35R could be had with a divided housing. That will definitely be a torque monster.

Just wait tell you hear the sound of the v8. I helped build a 3" exhaust for a 91 v8 using borla mufflers and it was straight nascar v8 sounding. Nothing import about that sound :woowoo: Just straight Mean.
