Post by derracuda »

3.6 unless i snag a 4.2! :P

i think i wanna call it the 32vt anyhow. we always refer to 20vt and 20vt... so might as well continue the trend :D

ok, so today, i installed about the best $15 worth of parts ever.......

Image

new door strikers all around. the doors open easily now!! they kinda pop open almost! it's incredible! and so when i had the trunk open, i thought.. hmm, looked at it's striker as well and took my leatherman, grabbed it and rotated the plastic and the trunk opens easier too! man, this is too good to be true :D

btw, today was ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS, so i waxed my car too, and now it's all shiny and clean again :)

My wife almost screamed at me last weekend when she tried to open the back door on mine... wound up opening them from inside.

There was a guy in the MK2 forums that used heat shrink!Best $0.30 he ever spent!

i dunno how heatshrink would hold up in the long run though. it's not meant for constant surface load like this.

well, here's some pics at the request of the Wiz. i ran down the to the local middle school and took advantage of the lighting. they came out ok. i think i could have rotated the car more so the light reflected off the side more. next time i'll do it at dusk when there's colors in the sky, that should look real nice :)
