Hanks URQ 2.6L Autopsy
Craig you are right on. We happen to have the block sitting around that we prepped and welded, but didn't ever use. I think that block is what Hank was referring to so that he could use 81mm wiseco's that he already has.
Here is a link to my gallery pages of the welded block we are talking about.

Just a small update. I got the injectors back from RC after having them balanced and cleaned. 1000cc injectors showed the following..
1- 992cc
2-912cc
3-982cc
4-998cc
5-995cc
Guess which one is shown... Yeah, it sucks. Aparantly, the filter in the injector folded over and got sucked down which screwed the flow of that injector. Now they are all within 3cc but the damage is already done..
So, i have cried and moped around looking for a block. I decided to use the wiseco's that i bought for my s6 a while back. They are 81mm bores though, so I needed a 81mm block, or use the wr block that came with the car. I decided to bore and hone the wr block to 81mm and weld up the oil galley(my dad had already done it.)
So it is done, and i should be back in buisness in the next couple of weeks. It will go back in with a 35r and i plan on tunning for e85 this time around. I was going to build a new header for it, but my shop is moving, and I need to get the car out of there.
The thigh carnage is a dirtbike wreck from hell. I was up in the mountains on a ktm 400f with a 525 top end( works out to around 485 and a short stroke, nice bike btw) , and a moist root crossing the trail derailed the rear tire as i lightened the front end over it. I was sideways and highsided before I knew it, and got tossed into a field of rocks. I fractured the knee cap 3/4ths of the way across it and put rocks and blue jeans into it that required 8 stitches by my trusty uncle(who I stiched his hand a few months back)
Anywho, I'll post more when the car is back up and running..

you shaved your legs for us?

hopefully better then mine did. You look around, and this is an issue with that injector for whatever reason. With such a big opening and the same standard filter that 19# injectors use, they see a lot of fuel and have to filter a lot of fuel in a shorter mileage timeframe. RC techs told me that they recomend changing the filters every 20k miles. Interesting huh?
Where did the chunks of piston end up? I figured that when you told me the piston was toast that the ring land was melted/busted up, but didn't realize that it was that bad. No wonder the block is toast. Is it good enough for a set of 83mm pistons? What did we put in before, 81mm? As bad as that piston is, just looking at your knee makes mine throb. Are you going to be good to backpack in to Big Elk Creek and go fishing in the middle of August? I've already taken the days off work, so don't go and wimp out on me. :-D

The first thing I noticed being messed up was your leg, not the piston. Looks like you bit it hard on a bike, bike bike not a motorcycle. How did you do that exactly? I went over the bars on my road bike yesterday and bruised my ribs a bit when my side landed on the handle bars :tard: Great way to cut a 67 mile ride short at 50 :frustrated: :frustrated: :frustrated: :frustrated: :frustrated: :frustrated: :frustrated: :frustrated:
Yeah, they ended up in the oil pickup screen, and on the bottom of the oil pan. A lot of the aluminum was actually fused to the rod surface like I told you this morning on the phone. It is amazing how hot it got in such a short amount of time...
The knee has a heartbeat right now, but I hope to be able to hike in a couple of weeks.

I probably ejected at about 45 onto a rocky trail that has football sized jagged rocks... a true rocky road. The dark scab with 8 stitches in it bled for a full day before I decided that I better put some stitches in it, and then it bled for another day after that.. I got trashed...
My other leg got nailed as well, but I can barely tell because of the pain on the left leg/lortab.

:pics:so instead of a hunter having a bunch of deer heads in the den, you have half a dozen 016's, and some motor and human internals that have busted!!1
