i can send him an e85 base tune, no big deal. just fudge at +30% fuel and some startup modifiers and its pretty close.
What's everyone using for a switch to go between tunes?
any spst switch will work. but I like what the chaloux boys did with the "FUNK" switch:
Ed has also used a key-lockout switch for his car. not a bad idea, since the penalty for accidentally going on the e85 tune while on pump gas in the tank is severe...

I can see it now....
"what does this FUNK switch do...."/ NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo BOOM
now that my engine is installed I am trying to figure out if I am experiencing compressor stall ,or if I have a problem with my BPV.
Ever since the I have been tuned with the Billet RS2, when I get her spooled up at higher RPMs and let off the go pedal, I don't get a consistent "swish" noise of air exiting the WG... I get a staggered noise... "cheee cheee cheee"...
I have a Forge BPV... perhaps there is some oil residue in there? Those can be taken apart and cleaned/checked right?
Or is it something else?
Any ideas? It sounds cool... but doubt it's a good thing.
Took the BPV to clean it.. Turns out it is a Dahlback Racing BPV... I could not get it apart (need a strap wrench), but I was able to clean it enough that it no longer causes any issues. JC-Quattro lent me a spare just in case, but it was fine for the whole trip up to see him and grab the spare and the whole trip back... in fact, the car ran much better as a whole.
Pics for anyone interested:

Sorry i didnt offer you a beer Dan - my bad. Had the garbage run on my mind, we coulda done that and hit the Cape Ann Brewery easily BTW, shoulda thought of that. Glad to hear ride back was still good - like i said i bet you can warsh that boy up w/o disassembly still pretty well.
Unfortunately i got brave and delusional after you left and started tackling FMIC install thinking hey how hard could it be. More hassles than expected, obv will need welding and cutting and extra bolts and whatnot... Meaning i gotta get it back to OEM tomorrow by midday since she is the airport car for Monday afternoon... Dayum. At least by tomorrow lunch i hope to have my pipes cut and marked for welds and/or beads, and a short list of anything else. Bolting the oem SMIC in AGAIN will suck. I hate that fckn allen bolt at the back behind the fender liner. (Note to self - replace w regular hex bolt and washer for now).

No worries... If I knew you were going to tackle that I would have stayed to help. Easier to have two people to get the bumper on/off.. and I would have tackled getting mine tweaked properly.
Once you get some FAB done happy to help you with it. Cooler air makes turbo happy.
Thanks again for the spare BPV... everything was great on the way back... did a few pulls with a not so stock 135... tiny/light freaking cars and quick... old girl held her own though.
