Any specs on this engine? I'd like to turbo the 2.8l M52 I've got... I like the sound of the M50 (I guess it is in the cams?).

The track was uber prepped, which would have been awesome if my Audi was up and running. Bretts car snapped 2 rear axles on the first 2 launches, and they dennied him a 3rd pass, despite a 20 minute swap session in the parking lot. It was complete BS, and we got our money worth in complaints.

The car ran 10.5 at 4200 ft in SLC on the crappiest track known to man. I gotta think that it would have been low 10s, maybe even high 9s if it could have kept axles under it.

Ya, the weekend sucked for my car, but its all good, there are plenty more of those...

The focal point of the weekend was my buddy Hank! I have missed this guy(no homo) since he moved from Provo. And have been in touch here and there. We are both very busy. But on a moments notice he opened up his shop, and basically his whole world to help me sort my car out. He did everything in his power to help me, its not like he said ok, you can use my shop but I have work to do(which he has PLENTY of work to do). He jumped right in from the start and was there EVERY step of the way until we had the car figured out, treating me like a KING, shagging parts off of his car, welding this on my car, just every direction he was there with a solution!

BUT WAIT THERES MORE!!!

As if my car didnt take up enough time and energy, my buddy who also came down for mfest was having issues and needed to check some things over... What does Hank do??? He says "Bring it on!" so for the next 6-8 hours he helps my buddy with his car, after basically no sleep for 2 days helping me! At this point I was way too tired and dead(no food) to even help my buddy, but its like Hank got a second wind, and just kept coming and coming! I eventually peeled off and went to the drags, and was not successful. :(

Bottom line is BMW's suck, and Hank is truly a great person!

I just wanted to say thanks Hank you are one amazing dude! Hopefully I can return the favor one day!

There are plenty of other stories from the weekend that I will share when I get a moment, but this is 1st priority.
