So.. some exciting news...
Even though I am still unemployed and had to sell the '84.. I managed to find something that could not be passed up.
Introducing the Aluminium block for my Sport.
This is the WH from the Audi 100 that Audi has thrown in for fun.. only a handful of Ur-q and 100 had those blocks.
They are identical to the works alloy blocks save some of the machining details.
This is the 79.5mm bore, same as Ur-q so plenty of meat and came from a low km car.
Very happy with this addition to the parts stash.
Now, if only the temperatures would rise above freezing I could get some work done on the shell.. can't wait.

but I'm not surprised. The parts you have collected thus far blows my mind. I'm not sure how you do it but I almost expect to see this sort of stuff now.
To shock us now you'd almost have to find an aluminum block for your sport.
